Nice, clear video. Thanks. I'm a huge Onshape fan but I wonder when Onshape will make appearance features easier to implement (e.g. like in Fusion 360)

I'm glad you liked it. About appearances: there is the "render studio" which comes with a professional subscription.

Any tips or videos for how to draw a compound splayed leg in Onshape? For example in this table if you wanted the legs have rake angles in both directions? Thanks for the great videos and any suggestions you might have.

Great question. A couple of ideas come to mind-a loft could do this, a sweep, or simply cutting at the appropriate angle. I think I will make a video on this.

Hi I am having trouble finding the "view" tool you mention at 2:03min. I am using a free education version and cannot see any tool called view. Any help appreciated. Ta

I went to that moment in the video. What I do at 2:00 is that I hide that part, that top-for that I just hover over the part and hover over it and pick the "close eye", hiding that part.

How are you manipulating the view so smoothly?
@cademist Жыл бұрын
In my left hand I got this 3dmouse which allows me to manipulate the view.

@@cademist You should make a video of the mouse and how you use it.

I've done so, including a CAD-keyboard, it's on my Onshape-playlist@@MrKornnugget

Nice video. I learned some useful techniques. Question: Why not create an assembly rather than mirroring parts. You really only have 4 unique parts but the mirror creates additional duplicates. Just curious. Nice work!

Thx. Sure, your suggested workflow is valid. This time I just didn't want to switch tabs.
