Very well explained. Eagerly waiting to watch the next video on damage modelling in composites.

Very good explanation Please make more videos on analysis of composite materials in Abaqus

Thanks, You can find videos about creating various RVE of composite materials in our channels including 2D and 3D RVE of unidirectional composite and 2D random composite. If you mean video about macro modeling of composite we will prepare more videos in future. Currently a video about 3D modeling of damage in composite materials is in our plans.

Isn't unidirectional cfrp means that all plies have the same orientation..? I mean when we say 2 layers of unidirectional cfrp, isn't that mean that both layers are in the same orientation..?!

Could you make a video on how to change fiber volume ratio while creating composite plies.
@engineering_software2 жыл бұрын
In macro modeling of plies we can change the properties of each layer which is affected by volume fraction. We can not change the volume fraction directly. To investigate the effect of volume fraction micro or meso scale modeling of composite materials is helpful. what is the unit of shell edge load? Is it N/m. If we consider thickness can we apply shell edge load as pressure value (N/m2)
@engineering_software3 жыл бұрын
In shell and plate theories, all the in plane loads are represented in (load per unit length N/m for force type loads or N.m/m for moment type loads). So the unit is N/m or N/mm for force type loads. However, there is not any shell edge load in this video.

Can you explain how to model woven fibre mats?
@engineering_software6 ай бұрын
We plan to publish a video about it.

Hi, how do you find the mechanical properties for these plies? I am wanting to do a similar thing for a carbon fibre polymer reinforced composite. Thanks!
@engineering_software2 жыл бұрын
You should do one of the followings: Perform tensile and shear tests on various direction of a ply Use a micromechanical model and calculate these values based on constituent properties. Find a close material to your case

from where you got the material properties?

Subject: Seeking FEA Software Recommendations for 3D Printed Composites Hi everyone, I'm researching FEA software tools for analyzing 3D printed composite materials, particularly those with anisotropic material simulation capabilities. I'd appreciate your insights on this subject. If you know any software that is suitable for the simulation of complex fibre routes I would be pleased to know more about it.
