I have used the Follow Me tool as you are doing; however, I have used it to "preview" hollow forms for woodturning, inlays for turnings, and for segmented turning. Visually-very handy.

This got me thinking about tanks and vessels, and it works! Much better result than joining end caps onto a cylinder. Thanks for the tip 🖖🏽

Thanks. That was harder to copy than it looks. When I'm casting a circle below the bottom corner of my rectangle, it's a little tricky getting it drawn in the correct plane. I tend to get green when I want blue. I'm getting better at it but I'm not sure why. Some of it has to do with how I have the entire drawing space oriented. Leaning the space toward me for instance, makes it easier to have the cicle pop up on the x-y (blue) plane.

Next logical video, how to wrap texture around a vase...

To be clear, the size of the circle does not matter but the amount of segments in the circle directly affects the result.

That is correct!

Probably worth pointing out that by default I believe Sketchup will pop up a message warning that the path (in this case the circle) is not connected to the profile. It’s obviously safe to ignore this!
