Finally. I've been wanting something like this for Years! The amount of faucet Faffery that happens in the morning is criminal. Get the right temp, try to save some water, making a mess on the sink from all the minor adjustments 🥴, oh and you're half asleep. What if I need to leave the water dripping for freezing temperatures? Here in Texas, that is super common to do. Is there a mode for that?

That is an interesting question. I'm not sure about that. That's more of a problem for exposed pipes that should be insulated than it is for the fixture itself.

If I have a shower knob that works as both temp & water volume, can I take the knob off and add a temp lever, then put the knob back on for the volume?

The tape does nothing when rubber washers are being used. So you can omit the Teflon tape.

Are you supposed to put caulk around a kitchen or bathroom faucet?

Some people do but I don't recommend it. Most deck plates have a gasket underneath them to seal water from going under. Also, caulking around things like that and especially toilets, can mask a problem which does more damage in the long run.
