I have to say thanks for this little video. I got a pack of 194 replacement bulbs with the twist lock connectors from amazon. (Partsam) All the bulbs worked great in my boat except for the speedo which had a pc161 type connector. Using your instructions I was able to remove the old bulb and put the new blue LED bulb in by twisting the wires around the metal blades in the old connector like you explain in the video.

had a 10 pack of 194 led bulbs laying around i originally ordered for my honda on ebay. i already had my gauge cluster ripped apart on my new 99 silverado to repair the odometer LCD and im glad i found this video. took a little time but not too bad... i love my new red gauges in my truck. thank you for the video.

I have a 1993 Roadmaster, these same wagner bulbs are offset from the locking tabs on the twist socket, replacement ones you can get online say they are the same BUT those are perpendicular to the lock tabs. these are at a 30°, and my board is specifically made for that offset, the perpendicular ones twist too far, and pass over the boards contacts... This video has saved my skin using my old blown bulbs (btw, use the aftermarket tabs, they allow you to easily slide the wedge in instead so they are not permanently soldered)

Another easy fix that requires no soldering iron is to get the twist sockets off a 95-02 chevy express van (GMC Savanna works too) those have modular sockets that will take t10 bulbs (the small t5 ones too for the turn signals) with no mods and work fine with other GM products I put them into my chevy blazer which had the same soldered sockets but I swapped them with the ones off the van. They work fine I got them off a pick your part junkyard for free.

You can get replacement twist locks pretty cheaply. They are available with and without bulbs in them. I've got some white and red LEDs with some new twist locks coming.

Did you replace the turn signals inside the cluster did it give enough resistance did they blink or did it stay on solid?

wildreg a chevy blazer uses a almost identical instrument cluster I personally have replaced the t5 turn signal bulbs and they work fine. This is because most commercially available led bulbs have inline 20ma resistors to prevent the amperage from burning out the diode.

Cameron Spraker gmt 800 trucks and gmt 330 suvs have a very similar instrument cluster. So in my chevy blazer (gmt 330 product) the leds will dim but barely then they will turn off.
