I've had people get weird when spin cocking my henry, and it's understandable, but the lever has the bolt open during the spin and no round is chambered, thus rendering the firearm inoperable until the lever is closed on the catch, at which point the barrel is pointed down range.

I wouldn't say this is stupid. This rifle setup was actually mentioned in the movie El Dorado, near the beginning of the movie. Not directly but I knew what he meant. You could see the big loop lever on it. John Wayne tells Robert Mitchum, "There's something familiar about that gun." Then Mitchum replied, "I just had it fixed up like you had yours. You got lucky with it, so I thought I would give it a try". There is also a scene near the end of the movie Rio Lobo where they are getting ready to make a trade of two guys. John Wayne says "hold it a minute." He then swaps the rifle he is holding for one in a holster on his horse. You can see he swaps it for a rifle with a big loop lever. I believe this type of rifle mod, was a big deal to him.

Spin cocking the rifle is not hard to learn. It depends on how long the barrel is in relation to your arm length. Hi 88, I'm not familiar with airsoft guns. The BB guns that I have dealt with require some force to cock them. The act of pulling the lever also pumps air into a chamber to fire the bb. I think the only way to do it would be to hold the gun with both hands, cock the lever with a downward thrust and the let the gun spin to close it. Then there is the problem of finding a Big Loop Lever for a BB gun. I've never heard of that. If you make it happen please let me know. Good Luck Dan

The McCains had a dirt floor and no woman of the house to fuss, scold, & cold-shoulder Lucas and Mark when they broke a table or a lamp. I've never tried this but is seems like a '92 would be better for spin-cocking. Usually a shorter shell/action, and the whole guts of the carbine don't come out with the lever.
