Have you tried / considered a grimmspeed turbo? Specifically the chase jb400? Compressor Wheel Size (Inducer/Exducer): 51.2mm / 73.8mm Extended tip, 48 Trim Turbine Wheel Size (Inducer/Exducer): 53.8mm / 47mm, 76 Trim

Not that one specifically. But we have used a LOT of turbos and right now we are using the subaru based ones to about 350whp and are using pulsar or garrett turbos past that, as the exhaust housings on the subaru turbos are starting to limit us as we push for more power. We can do 400 on a subaru turbo fairly easily, but the torque curve drops a bit more than we like.

Love your channel bro! Just picked up a 2015 RS AWD. I know these make plenty of power stock but as far as whp goes, is there any point where you'd cap power before it starts to affect the rigidity of the CVT? I was hoping for no more than 250whp at most with FBO+tune

AWD OEM turbo will struggle to make more than 210 awhp on a really aggressive tune with full bolt ons. reference our other videos for more information

GT2860 turbo is really impressive on my Juke, but as you say, turbo loves rolling races. Have shocked many cars that should be way out of my league

Thanks for information, I do think the Mamba turbo's should be tested as there's different versions. I ordered the lastest which is +1mm bigger wheel than previous Mambas. I believe it's more like a 20T.

You can make the compressor wheel bigger and bigger, but the exhaust housing and exhaust turbine wheel size will always limit horsepower by means of back-pressure and in turn increased cylinder exhaust gas ratio. The current power record on a mamba turbo is 285horsepower on a dynojet. at 22-24psi. We did 400 horsepower with a bloush 1.5xt turbo at the same boost, and that has roughly the equivalent of a 18g compressor wheel on it with ball bearing, which just makes it spool faster and harder.
