38:00 You actually have a third option: grind or file down the edge of the washer until it fits. Yes, the washer won't spin in place like a normal washer, but it will serve its purpose.

Thank you for making this video. I just recently purchased the same machine for upholstery work. Thus far it has performed very well. I would recommend you download the engineers manual as it lists all of the alignment specifications. I have found it very useful when verifying and improving the various timing requirements such as needle hook alignment. Good luck to you.

Thank you so much for sharing this video. It helped me alot. I got the Juki DDL-8700 from a seller on ebay (Poland) But absolutely no instructions followed. And when yo ufind it at the Juki website it could have been much better. In your video I can see that your motor are not tightend..I mean the knots. I think you ned to do that. The mashine is fantastic and also the prise.

Yes. You will manage, no problem. Just take the time you need. I think you benefit from spreading out all the parts over a floor because then you get a good overview!

This is the first Juki sewing machine assembly video that I've seen that has a table with the official Juki logo on it. Did you order each of the components (table, machine head, servo motor) separately, or was it a package deal? Is there a website where I can order that Juki table?
