Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. I was so frustrated using a gel medium that I didn't know about the double-tack adhesive paper for a while. This adhesive is what professionals use to mount art. It makes the process so much easier. Thank you for leaving a comment.

OMG! What very informative tutorial. This is a game changer for me. Do you Seal the work with the Dorlands Wax Medium first? Is it needed when using the other fixatives?

Hello, Debra. I only use Dorland's wax on my pieces where I don't use gold paint, as it dulls them. The Dorlands is amazing for wood-mounted art prints. I don't use anything on those except the Dorland's Wax. On my black PanPastel without gold, I would spray a fixative sealer first and then use the Dorland's wax.

Great tutorial. I love mounting my watercolors on wood panels. It’s too bad no one has figured out how to make colored pastels sealable. Your art is lovely!

What other Golden Products are you thinking of? I have used the Matte Medium. It dulls any of the gold, so I used the watered-down gloss.

Is it necessary to prime the wood prior to mounting the art piece or painting the sides? I’m curious because I have seen these exact boards at my local art store and some of them have mold due to moisture I’m guessing. 🫤

Thank you for your question. I have not had any problems with moisture. I do not prime the wood before mounting my art on it, as I don't think that is a necessary step.
