Awesome tutorial, I couldn't get my printer to print the template at the correct scale but using your tips about finding the center line and the dimensions written on the template I was able to mark and drill the right places on the ski :)

Just watched your video see if there’s anything unique about Shifts compared to Jesters and Pivots or installs that I’ve done, and aside from the front screw, it’s pretty much the same job. I thought you did a really good job describing the steps and showing them for anyone considering mounting up their bindings. Nice job!

Thank you gentlemen! Very comprehensive and informative. Got my Atomic shifts mounted and the technician never informed me if I wanted the information sheet that came with the bindings. Don’t want to go back for it since it’s quite a drive. Next, the tech was nice enough to mount the bindings right away using boots I thought that would fit in perfectly. Cut things short, had to return the boots and order a new pair coming in a few days. Needed some instruction on how to adjust the rear binding for boot length (give or take 2 mm). As for the front, from GripWalk to a non GW. There will surely be a big gap in height. Cheers.

Nice! that was very thorough! i like how it can be done in a good way with very basic tools, and minimal preparations. for us extra clumsy people there is a cheap “drill depth limiter” that an be attached to the bit, or like 15€ for pro bit.

If you're going to spend a lot of money on shift bindings and black crowes skis it's worth the extra 40-50 bucks having a professional shop mount your stuff who have an actual jig for this kind of thing.

If you don’t feel secure doing it yourself, don’t have the time or tool I would go for a store! That’s a safe and practical option I would say. 👍🏼😊 Good luck!!

Really nice tutorial, congrats!! I have a doubt, Using the template with the sole length, when you mount the binding, is the heel adjust in the middle of the seting for that boot length? I mean the binding has 3cm, after mounting it for a certen boot you can then only fit boots between +1.5cm and -1.5cm sole length, right? Thank you!!

Hi, it does not actually say on the template but we had no problem getting the boot to fit. The template is precise enough to get the mounting positions almost spot on!

Really good job with very simple tools, I did one of these bindings a year ago and it wasn't easy, or at least it was not easy because i didn't have a template, but you guys made it very visual, and explanation was on point. Amazing tutorial! Wondering what brake width you purchased? I'm planning on putting shifts on my 121wide skis and heard that the brake width is wider than advertised. Do you happen to know what brake width was put on the atris and how much clearance is still available?

Hi and sorry for the late response. If i remember correctly I put 120 brakes on the skis. There were not any 110 brakes to purchase and that’s why we put the 120s. The brakes are generally much wider than advertised so 120s should be fine for your skis!

great video! Question: is 1cm forward a happy result? i need to redrill the used kit i just bought as i have big feet. the skis are 108mm wide (i bought the kit for the good deal and these bindings) and not enough powder for this width

I’m happy with the result. I think they preforms really well. A have not tested any other positions on this ski so can’t compare 😌 but I like them like them in this position 👍🏼

This was fun to watch. I am getting the 2023 Atris which is at 105mm underfoot. Most bindings' brake width are at 100mm or 115mm. Which one would you pick for these skis?

Tack så mycket. Köpte just ett par sånna. De kom monterade på skidan. Men alltid bra att förstå hur allt fungerar. Jag tycker att ena bromsen glappar lite. Men det verkar inte finnas något sätt att sätta fast den. Har du någon erfarenhet av att bromsen inte riktigt sitter.

Hej, vet inte om jag fattar riktigt vad det är som glappar. Vi monterade bindningar på två par skidor och inte upplevt något problem. Jag har iofs inte kollat supernoga på "bromspinnarna" som går ner i snön. Möjligt att dem rör sig lite :) Även gått uppför med skidorna och då har det funkat bra med att fälla "upp" bromspinnarna så de inte är i vägen. Hoppas det löser sig!!

I have a Ski with is 100 wide in middle but accdidently bought this binding with the 110 stoper. Can is still use it or what are the disadvantages of a wider stoper?

Hi! This is not a problem. Just some stickout on each side. I have 120 bindings on my 106 skis without any issues!

@@Daniel-ge6df we mounted the same binding on the Atris ski in the video and we thought about it before the purchase and it was no problem at all. When you step down the heel they fold in over the ski. Not all the way but close. I didn’t think about it at all last winter when skiing. 👍🏼

How do you get the scale correct when printing ?

You can verify the scale using a real ruler against the one printed on the template. Good luck!

If I remember correctly we put the 120 on our skies. They should be ok for your 120 skies but if I were you I would double check the width of the breaks before purchase since I can’t tell you for sure. Good luck!!

Tape measure in mm is the only tool you need. Measure across ski waist. Say your ski waist is 96--half of 96 is 48. Check measurement from both edges to confirm, mark your center line.

Let me get back to you on that one. I have actually not have time to test them yet. Next week skiing is on the agenda. I don't have any skins at the moment so no walking but a lot of down hill 🤩🙌🏼 The Salomin QST´s (we mounted same bindings on them before the Atris, but we didn't film) are in Åre in Sweden for a couple of weeks and all I heard is good vibes!!

@@cfmasta I went with Fischer Ranger 102FR with Marker Duke PT as I will be using them mostly in the resort and hopefully for some short tours. Your exact setup was 2nd on my list. Where are you guys located? I am in Western Canada. Next time I think I will mount myself you really did a good preparation before you started. Good luck on them and thanks for the video.
