Great video! Do you have any videos on King or Queen Electric Bed Frames (the very heavy ones)? Some have to go upstairs and be disassembled. Would love to see a video on how you work those out.

Great video.!! Learned a or about moving a large piano. As Shawn has said in his baby grand packing video. If your not sure how to move a puno Just hire a professional piano mover who has the men,equipment, and experience to move your piano. These videos are wonderful in showing what is involved in delicate jobs done by people who really know.

Hi, thank you for sharing your videos! When you are moving a 9' grand that has two side rails on the long side, do you typically remove these before lowering the piano onto the piano board/skid, or are the side rails left on for the move? Thank you.

This is a wonderful question, thank you for asking. When it comes to those two rails, we do not remove them. However, you must be very careful. If you are worried about damage, the rails can be removed easily and reinstalled when you set the piano up. I hope this helps!

Yes, a piano board is absolutely necessary to move a grand piano. If you don't use a piano board, you will damage the piano. The board is used to help move and protect the piano

My friend (250 lbs, 5’8”?) and I (150 lbs, 5’1”) need to move an old?, out of tune baby grand piano. I know I have bed sheets and comforters, an upright dolly/hand truck, straps, and bungee cords. He has access to an open trailer (like for a hayride.). What advice do you have so the piano won’t be in worse shape after we get it to the final location (my house.) from his mom’s (RIP) previous residence?

I'm really sorry, but what you have isn't going to protect it from damage. You need the skill and expertise that only comes with years of training. I wish you the best of luck, but unless you know exactly what you're doing you can easily damage a piano. It's much harder than it looks to move a piano.
