only suggestion. wrap your outlet with tape covering the screws

That installation is not up to code since you said the wire is accessible for a storage area. It would need to be run in conduit or BX.

Without seeing the details of the install, hard to say. I just know that not having the conductors un-protected in an accessible space is a no-no.@@natemiller6700
