I am also wanting to know this. There is a social security office there.
@mark-evans2 жыл бұрын
YES! We have all U.S. Government Offices here in Saipan, so you CAN Collect your Social Security Checks here, most all the Banks here are Visa / Mastercard / FDIC Banks connected with the US, so all your Direct Deposits can be done to Banks here in Saipan, (Although I would use Bank of Guam, Bank of Hawaii, or First Hawaiian Bank) the other ones are a little shaky. But YES! We have U.S. Post Offices, U.S. Soc. Security Office, Veterans Affairs Office, FBI, Homeland Security, Saipan operates like a State of the U.S. except the U.S. lets Saipan make it's own Laws. That's basically what it amounts to. The Government of Saipan Mirrors a U.S. State. (But it is one of the Coolest places in the U.S. by far)

Thinking about retiring in Saipan close to Guam and the Philippines
@mark-evans2 жыл бұрын
Saipan is a great place for Retirees, it only cost a few hundred dollars to Fly to the Philippines from Guam, the only problem I have seen here in Saipan so far is MEDICAL. There are not enough Doctors. So Medical Care would probably have to be done in Guam or Philippines

Hi Mark, i noticed you have a keyboard beside you on your pic, do you play proffesionally?, I am also a proffesional drummer from los angeles and planning to move to saipan soon, Is there any job for musicians there in saipan?
@mark-evans3 жыл бұрын
No I don't play professionally, I recorded a CD a long time ago, tried to get something going, never happened. But I still have a Prophet 12, and a Keisel Guitar. There are lots of Musicians here, but there are not many Venues to play at. No one just plays on the Street like in California, they had like ONE Music Store here, and I think it Closed. I still have my Computer Interface, and I plan to Record some stuff again, but it's been hard for me to find the time. I don't think you would be able to make a Living as a Musician living here in Saipan. Only way you could do that is if you were Selling your Music Online. That's it. Plus this place is Super COVID CRAZY, they are trying to stir up the COVID Fear Factor as much as possible. So I doubt they will be having any Concerts any time soon. There are no Tourists here, so the Entertainment Industry is non existent.

Hi Mark, i watched one of your vdos wherein you went to different apartments , you even told on the vdo that there are some places where they rent rooms only and that they are a lot cheaper than renting a whole apartment. Can you help me find a room to rent if incase i move there? Ive been there wayback in the early 90s , lost all the people that i know there. Im really eager to move coz its getting really crazy here in california. God bless!

Do you get around ok on a bike? I won’t have a car.
@mark-evans2 жыл бұрын
Yes in some of my Videos you can see my Bike on my other Channel, Bikes are very expensive here, the average bike from a Bike Shop will cost around $600, I was lucky that a very nice Couple gave me my bike when I first arrived to the Island. You can find some Bikes at the Swap Meet on Saturday for around $100. I ride my bike everywhere, I ride it to work everyday, some days it Rains, I have to carry a change of clothes in my backpack to change if it rains. You have to wear a Construction Vest, (if you don't want to get hit) there have been several people here that were hit by cars and killed, because some people don't pay attention to where they are driving. I have had about 2 or 3 near misses since I have been here, that's why I wear a Bright Yellow Construction Vest when I ride. Aside from that, I can ride from one end of the Island to the other in a couple hours at the Most. I can ride from one side of the Island to the other in about an Hour tops. And I am not usually doing that everyday, so I don't mind riding the Bike. If you buy a Mountain Bike you can have a lot of fun here, this Island is very Bike Friendly in general, there are Bike Trails everywhere. And they built Bike Paths on the side of the road in many places here. So if you just want to Casually Cruise on a bike you can ride all day long either in the Trails in the Mountains or on the Bike Paths along the Ocean.

From your previous video - US Federal Law and the Constitution 100% applies to the CNMI. Although there are several CNMI only laws, the US controls the entire CNMI.

Can you do an informational video on Saipan, the govt, do you need a passport, where's the location exactly, how expensive is it? Whst it looks like the cities and neighborhoods. Ty
@mark-evans2 жыл бұрын
Yes I will, You do not need a U.S. Passport BUT it is very helpful because there are so many Illegals here, if they Question you about it, how are you going to prove you are a U.S. citizen?
@greyone3088 ай бұрын
@@mark-evans Thats rediculous. CNMI ID costs 15$. Cops dont go around "questioning people" about where they are from. They dont even kick out the overstay CW workers. You need a passport to get here if you fly to a foriegn country. If you pay 4x more to fly through Guam then thats your fuq up. Japan and Hong Kong have direct flights.

I'm planning on coming out there and would like to know is there a site or business to help look for a cheap apt. Is there a free way to call to saipan. Do u need to also have rent and deposit. Can u get a driver license there last,how to meet local girls there?

Not sure where you heard that but the CNMI is not under the United Nations, not even a little bit.
@mark-evans2 жыл бұрын
What I was talking about was Originally it was, and gradually the U.S. took over, HOWEVER my Point in what I was talking about was CNMI has Authority OVER the Jurisdiction of the U.S. that means if CNMI decides it doesn't like the Laws of the U.S. it Technically does not have to Follow them. Chicken Fights is one example of this.
@greyone3088 ай бұрын
@@mark-evans You are wrong. Federal laws apply here. CNMI is a commonwealth, it can make its own laws to a degree, but Federal laws apply if no conflict.

Encouraging people to bring shit fest 7-11 to our island, horrible idea. What is wrong with you Mark, have some respect for the LACK of corporatocracy imperialism here. Overall I give the vid a 3/10. No, I think the Opposite is True, I have had 3 of my Subscribers (that I am aware of) move here already, there are probably a lot more who never contacted me. I see the Economy picking up here, Houses that were Empty when I got here are Occupied now. Businesses are Opening, Japan Airlines said they are going to start flying here again. I believe Saipan is the best option for people to get away from all the Craziness in the U.S. so many people are coming here because of that. Soon I believe this place will be like Hawaii
