Thank you very much for this highly instructive video. I have been wondering how often to water my mother ZZ plant. I also only recently learned that the propagation needs a bulb before I transfer to soil. The information on the soil was most welcome too.

Should we wait until a bulb forms? I have a cutting that has roots but no bulb yet.
@ExpeditionHomestead

No, you can plant into soil once roots have formed too

Is there an update video ? I’m wondering which cuttings grow faster into plants. One leaf ? Two leaf ?

I wish we knew how to tell when it’s rotting, what to do if it does rot, what kind of container can it be in (glass, plastic, clear, not clear) can we do anything when it’s not rooting after a few months , what should the temperature/ how much sunlight should it get, can it be next to a window, can it be outside? I’ve had cuttings that haven’t rooted, but it has been in water for almost four months- and it still looks healthy, what happens if one leaf (another plant) start yellowing or browning- But the other leaves on the same chute or stem are okay? can I do with it because I don’t want to throw it out or give up on it because it’s a plant that’s more rare for me.

From what I know, ZZ plants are very easy to keep. Better watered very rarely and kept out of direct sunlight. Can be kept outside in warm climates. Brown leaves usually indicate over watering. I have two inside in a hot country and they can manage with water just once a month.
