How to mute, silence, remove the alarm on your battery backup UPS surge protector

Battery backup surge protector speaker removal. Mute alarm permanently Vertiv Liebert PST5 UPS Power Supply. I have the APC and an Amazon Basics one too. I might do those later.
Just a heads up - batteries last about 3-5 years so you may want to put a date on your UPS so you'll know when to replace the batteries.

I thought this video was how to silence the alarm through the interface buttons. Not void the warranty 😂 according to the manual it’s possible.

The manual only says the PST5 model with the display can be muted, which is obtuse profiteering. If you're worried about the warranty and actually encounter an issue, just shove the speaker back into the circuitboard holes before returning it.

Thanks for this video man! I had a question, how long does the UPS battery usually lasts you for? Having lets say modem and router connected to it. I'm not sure what you use it for

Honestly haven't tested this one that way. Probably at least 30 minutes. I have a slightly larger one that I dedicate to my modem / router to keep me up as long as it can when the power goes out.
