Is salt strong enough mordant to keep the color from fading away when rinsed? Does it fade when dried under the sun later?

The salt really wasn't strong enough. I recommend you try some of the other mordants I mentioned like citrus acid or baking soda.

@@jehanmuhammad Hibiscus is Ph sensitive so baking soda will turn it blueish gray.

the word is Jamaican sorrel, not Mexican Jicama. You are pronouncing the island of Jamaica, as if it were a Mexican word.

@@jehanmuhammad Me too i think i confused Jicama, sorrel and Jamaica 🇯🇲 my bad , i’m going to try to do some cotton flour sack kitchen towels i’m worried they are stitched with polyester thread, it’s only a towel lol i’ll give it a go! 👍🏻
