During a five-night outdoor adventure trip in my Suburban camper to a remote desert and canyonlands, I navigate my way to campsites and share eight navigation tips to help you go anywhere and camp for free on BLM land.
If you want to learn more about how to go anywhere, camp for free, and be prepared for anything, check out my website www.suburbanca... and here is the page featuring links to all the gear I utilize: www.suburbanca....

Great video! I really enjoyed this one. I love finding remote campsites and as a fisherman the campsite on the river that you found was amazing to me!

Thanks so much! Yes, Owyhee River is amazing. I love the spot you found with view of Mt. Jefferson.

Cool video! Why not put a lift and some taller tires on your Suburban to get better ground clearance? Suburban’s have long wheelbases that can cause you to get stuck.

Thanks Jerome. I like to keep my vehicles as close to stock as possible, but if I decide to venture further off road, I will definitely do some form of lifting. In the meantime, I will take advantage, on an as needed basis, of the 2" lift you can get from just adjusting the torsion bars.

Thank you for sharing your experience. You seemed to drive 2 or 3 days in the desert without a re-fueling station. How did you manage that?

You are welcome! My Suburban has a 25 gallon gas tank, which gives me a range of about 375 miles. Once I was in the area I was camping, the distance between sites was not that great. I did carry extra gas just in case!

Definitely! And a side note....the sign warns you the road gets super slick when it rains and I was awoken by rain on my day of departure and luckily was all packed up and ready to hit the road. Got out just in time and would not of made it out of there without 4WD!
