When you’re a superstar salesman with an excellent track record of always closing the deal, and you get in a slump, your sales manager does not care where you’ve been, he only cares about where you’re going. Even positive things from your past mean very little in the future.

The path to ultimate fulfillment is riddled with failure. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional or has such a low bar failure is of no consequence. Then again success wouldn't be either.

I first learned of Chadd Wright from Jim Rome's reinvention project. Episode 6. After 60+ episodes of that podcast, Ep. 6 defined the whole project. This here episode with Tech Guy, Chile, and Chadd? 12-fold of the podcast that led me to them. Proverbs 27:17. Thanks brothers, message received!

I agree with about the past mistakes and not being owned by others and almost more importantly the responsibility we have if we “own” someone’s mind, use it in a way to build them up be a positive thing inside their head because they are probably filled with enough negativity. Secondly, as far as Blake’s question as to why we share our experiences in hopes it will help or encourage or guide someone else there are lots of Bible verses about the wise will learn from instruction but a fool will scoff at it. That’s going along with what Chad and Chili said about we share for the ones whom are ready to hear AND apply the knowledge that was shared. You can’t give the feeling or complete understanding of any event to another human that has not experienced it themselves but you can share knowledge learned and when they recognize that they are in a similar situation if they draw upon the information you give their chances of mission success greatly increased vs going into the situation with nothing. Proverbs 1:5 , 9:9 , 12:15

One of the best episodes Ive listened to. Solid. Its important to intertwine psychology and religion. I still struggle with my faith. Is religion a value system or a faith? Are those mutually exclusive? Great work guys. That Tech Fella is pretty damn good!

maybe chadd cant help himself... but if you strap a mic to him... he just works himself up to the point where he starts yelling... like an old person with headphones on... or a young guy playing video games... might need to give him more feedback in his own headset...

the race is not won by the strong (ie those who never fall)... but by those who persevere (ie get back up). To say that you will never fall is to say that you are better than Christ... who fell during His Passion. None of us are close to that standard. The important thing is to get back up.

Personally, I struggle with the dichotomy of when caring is good and appropriate versus when you actually only need concern yourself with what God thinks. I couldn't help but think about this while listening! Because in one sense, a sociopath doesn't care about what other people think. And yet, I believe you'd both say that is the extreme and negative side of not caring. So, I'd love to hear another episode you guys parsing that out! Because I don't think you are saying to not have empathy for other people- or to completely disregard what others try to point out about your potential pitfalls ahead. It's just you threw the balance in at the end, but I would really appreciate it if you could expound on it. What areas in life do you need to stop caring about what other people think? And what areas do you need to flip the switch? There are many ways in which I could pursue something wrong and not care about what other people think- something that I perceive to be my purpose, calling, and my true self. And that's not what you are saying to do either. But yeah, that's sort of where my questions for you guys land. As I've considered things in my own life- that's where I struggle. How much freedom do I have to do things and pursue things without needing to care about other people's opinions on it? Romans 14 is a particular passage that I think of with this issue. Also, thank you for talking about these things! It's great to hear these topics discussed and other perspectives on how to approach issues.

Chadd and Chili would benefit greatly from BSSM online school, just watch a couple "Bill Johnson sermons" shorts. You are never ready for marriage, children or the plans of God over your life, but God promises to be your rear guard, comforter and counselor. Moses was never ready or felt qualified to go before Pharaoh, but God promises to give you the words to say when brought before men. Luke 12:11 God Bless Mighty Spirit Warriors of God.
