Here's my three big pieces of advice: Make automated farms as a place that you have to go to: If you're going to make a big crazy "farm a million x in an hour" farm, make a specific build, somewhere in your world, dedicated specifically to that purpose, that is a functional base as well with some style. Make the base themed after what it's making, like make an iron farm look like a big foundry or a bamboo farm that looks like a Thai village. That way too, you don't just have these resources on-hand: you have to make a pilgrimage somewhere to get them, so this will also incentivize you to put effort into transport. I have an automated Pumpkin Pie farm made to look like a big farmhouse, in "pumpkin" colors using acacia wood and white concrete. I devoted a good week to building it, and a canal that connects it to my main base about 1000 blocks away. That way too, if I only need a few pumpkin pies and the trip isn't worth it, I'm still incentivized to gather them the old-fashioned way. Do "The Long Walk": When I run out of ideas, I stash everything and don this specific outfit: iron chestplate, leather boots and hat, an iron sword, a bow, and an iron pickaxe, all with no enchantments, and 64 carrots. I then pick a cardinal direction and walk for one full day and night. If I die on the trip, I go back to where I started and pick a new direction. Wherever I stop on the dawn of the second day, I discard everything I'm carrying and build a base wherever I stopped completely from scratch, no matter where I am. You'll be really surprised what you'll come up with when you have to build in a specific spot rather than seeking out "a good spot", and it's inspired me to make some truly creative and stupid builds. Link all your bases: Every single one of my bases are linked using an underground network of tunnels, and you can go from any base to any base without ever going above ground. It's very time-consuming, but very cool because sometimes I'll let myself get lost in those underground tunnels and come up and be like "I remember building this!" Also too, I use a program called Unmined, that lets you see a skyview map of every part of your world you've explored. Since it can highlight blocks, I put a chiselled nether brick in every base and soul soul every 10 or so blocks in the tunnels: it let me use Unmined to create a map of all my bases and all my underground tunnels lol.

First tip is really good lol, in the process of the next episode I actually make one however I dont make it huge or anything its just a small passive yield of crops. Number two is also a really good idea which i might be doing soon but not sure, its like going camping in minecraft, personally Id just pick weaker armor go in a direction and make something, and if its a good spot Ill eventually make my way back there with my better gear and develop the land. 3rd is also pretty cool, Ill probably link mine up with roads and a bunch of other things like bridges and tunnels

@@molten99 I also like making buildings either from real life, or from fiction. Ever play Chrono Trigger? I made the Cathedral, the one from 600 AD that's a dungeon, complete with functional traps. You actually have to play the organ to open the staircase, and noteblocks even play the notes lol

Great video! You have very relxaing voice, could do ASMR lol. I started a Minecraft server with some friends and made a rule that we couldn't do mob farms (no xp farms, no iron farms, no villages enslaved in tiny booths at our base) and we've been taking it slow. It's been two weeks (several hours each day) and we still haven't gone to the End yet... It's been fantastic.

I have a nearly 10,000 days survival world. Youre never actually done with possibilities. Finally got some sniffers the other day.

10,000 days and no sniffers are crazy, but yeah with minecraft you never really run out which is why its lasted so long

Thanks to your survival series I've been getting a lot into Minecraft again so this is very helpful for my own survival world. I love the chill vanilla game, like I enjoy going mining instead of building an iron farm and stuff, and the resource gathering for a build is also one of the most entertaining parts of building! I love your videos molten :3

Thanks man ! I also enjoy mining for resources instead of farming for them
