I think of myself as a pretty good driver (which is about to be proven wrong). Was driving a utv and I was making basically a sharp turn and for some reason (whether it be a mental error or not) didn't brake. Rolled right over and to make it worse did the only thing I was told not to....DONT HOLD YOUR ARM OUT!!! No major injuries, just a little scratched up and drove myself back just fine. My arm is very sore, the roll cage went right over it, but somehow its fine. To ensure this never happens again ima watch this video. Try to atleast learn from my mistakes. Stay safe guys.

Oooh the idea of a rollover scares me! Great advice. You do have to be careful…aware…never know what or who you will come across.

So sad about your rollovers. Going fast on trail is just stupid, and people doing it should think better about life and that they can hurt others. You are so right about that.

I agree with everything you said. I only put mine on it`s side once and was very slow turning onto a uphill track and a small tree sapling got under the front end and was just like a spring and put me over. My ego was hurt more than anything LOL. With the size and speed of the machines now, I get a bit nervous on the wide roads not knowing what`s coming around the bends since I was forced off to the side a few times with people hugging the left side on blind curves going fast. I have learned I was not as good a rider when I first bought my quad as I am now but thought I was.

Yep I’ve been in that position and I still don’t think I’m a good rider lol 😂

I've rolled my 420 Rancher one time at very slow motion while backing down a very steep hill. I hit a tree stump which I never saw and it rolled right over pinning me under the ATV. Not fun. I wasn't hurt but it scared the bejesus out of me. I was able to use my free leg to push the ATV high enough to pull my left leg out. Fortunately, my gang box was unlocked and spilled all the contents out so I was able to use the tools I had to right it with some work. The difference between your ATV and mine, mine is strictly used as a tool on my property and not a toy to ride around on. I've never had it past 2nd gear in the six years I've owned it. LOL Stay safe, ride safe and wear a helmet.

Great Video! We call it a whoops dangit! You have to be smart out on the trail! There's no education in a second mule kick to the head! I think I lost my need for speed awhile ago! God bless! Tony n Lee Ann

This is just my own personal opinion and in no way am I trying to be hateful or disrespectful. There’s way to many people WITHOUT any riding experience whatsoever out here buying SXS’s & 4-wheelers with big motors with lots of power, then adding lifts big tires etc and they have no idea how to actually handle them they just want to look cool. I can always tell just by the way people talk in comments on KZbin, FB, TT, IG that have no idea. They have no riding etiquette (y’all know what I mean) The riding community is a different breed, it doesn’t matter if we know each other or not if 1 of us is stuck or “in trouble” we stop no matter what, but not the 1’s that are new. All of us was new to riding at some point in time but there was always a bunch of the “old” 1’s teaching us the etiquette on riding, that doesn’t happened much anymore because of all the tension in the world now. But we’ve gotta start teaching the newbies that get out in these Mud parks acting a fool to do better before none of us have a place to ride.

Hey buddy! Bummer that Bronco looks like it was in pretty decent shape prior to rollover. That camo hides the scratches quite well based on what I see in the video. Pretty cool actually. Glad you weren't injured. We've been having arguments with the state of WI about this same thing. The state wants to see us build smoother, wider trails because it's "safer". We want to keep the trails more rugged because the only way to keep the machine speed down is to make it harder to carry speed on the trail. We have 42,000 miles of roads in the state we can legally travel, if someone wants to get somewhere quickly they should travel on those.

I would say a rollover would be scary! We have a Utv and we’ve had a scare or two but haven’t never rolled over. I’m not gutsy enough to come close to it!

Rolled the Foreman a year and half ago. Cracked 3/4 of the left front fender loose. I posted a vid of how I welded it back. Hit the ground so hard the camera busted off the helmet. I'm positive if I hadn't been wearing it I'd be dead. As is I busted five ribs, a collar bone and tore a rotator cuff. My own fault for going too fast.

Everyone remember if your in a SXS and you do accidentally do roll it on it’s side PLEASE KEEP YOUR ARMS & HANDS INSIDE ROLL CAGE!!! I know it’s a natural reaction when falling but do your best not to unless you want to be a Arm Amputee. I know from personal experience I rolled my Yamaha Rhino 450 14 years ago stuck my arm out to catch myself (dumb blonde moment 🤪) & my forearm got caught between the roll bar & the ground the Rhino continued to slide/skid on the ground which literally ripped my arm off. I was on flat ground going around 3 different mud holes like in a figure8. Last hole I’m not sure what happened but it flipped. I still ride just nothing with a roll bar I’m strictly a Honda Foreman girl. To many people get a false sense of security when buying a SXS because of the roll cage which sometimes ends up hindering their common sense. Be safe have fun y’all

Seems a lot of 4x4 quad and SxS owners fail on the finesse side of things - they are usually top heavy with a short wheelbase, so need a little momentum in a lot of spots. Happy trails and be safe!
