Awesome vid. This couldn't have come at a better time I just rolled my machine and I really think it was because of the body roll. I'm about to order the rear sway bar end links. How much better do you think it would be with that setup on the Michigan trails in the turns I think it would make a huge difference.

Good video guys. Youre right that most people dont understand what sway bars do in their suspension. But to help explain it a bit more stiffer does not always equal better handling. Sometimes you need the flex to deal with the bumps and such. Stiff is good for smooth fast ground but to stiff on uneven ground bucks the car around and you lose traction. There is a happy medium and true suspension guys are witch doctors. They know all the little tricks to get it to act just the way it needs to.

Oh absolutely! Our goal here was just to show the viewers how much you can impact the performance of a vehicle in the corners with a sway bar. We're certainly not experts on suspension... even though we act like it some times lol

Wow...the handling of that machine is damn impressive. I’m talking about with the loosest setting. I’d be off roading at the loosest. The body roll probably felt worse than it looked. But, suppose it’s all dependent on your riding style. Mine is crawling more than fast cornering. I run a Yamaha Wolverine X4 with no sway bars. At 30 mph through those cones I’d roll.

It's not just body roll... But weight transfer. The inner front lifting isn't the worst thing depending on your rig. That means maximum on the outside rear. And on dirt, that's the name of the game

Just like with autoX setups, you don’t want to go too stiff as you take more of the suspension out of the equation and put more stress on the tires, making them the weakest link at that point (which you learned to a degree in this vid). You’ll want to strike a balance between the suspension, ride height, and what the tires can handle. Weight transfer isn’t necessarily bad - and neither is body roll as a result because you want the weight to go where the power needs to be, but all of the components need to be dialed in to work together.

It will make the ride a little stiffer. The sway bar transfers load from one side of the car to the other... which significantly improves handling... but also... Any significant bump on one side will also be transferred to the other side... which will make your ride feel a bit less comfortable. Stiff is awesome for racing! Loose is awesome for comfort and casual driving / slow speeds. Its awesome to be able to have all settings at your fingertips!

The thing that will make the biggest impact for you will be to raise the ride height to around 16" front and 15" rear. This will greatly increase the ride quality for you. From there, you can adjust the high speed / low speed / rebound settings to fit your riding style.

The stiffer you make the settings the less articulation you have. But that's why these are awesome! You can set them for the particular activity you're doing. Set them stiff for short course, set them loose for climbing!
