Do thankful this preacher/teacher tells the truth of the recieving of the Holy Ghost. It's not automatic because one believes. One must yield every member of oneself. The evidence is praising in God's tongue.

This is the problem of the modern teology. Everything is logisticly and legalistically explained, but there is no true pursuit of God, the one that we do with our whole heart and spirit and seek His heart and spirit. First is to know His Love and be fascinated by that, and then we can study, pray, do church activities etc. The foundation is the experienced teology of heart! in the times the Bible speaks about, they HEARD the Word of God, it was not just a written letter, it was Word spoken by the Power of the Spirit and passionate heart for God of the speaker. God continues to speak, He want a personal comunication with His heart, and this is only possible in the intimacy with His person. In the constant gaze of the soul upon Him!

In chapter one the reader says that “Satan left Jesus completely vanquished.” This is not correct. It should the stated the other way around.

Thanks for bringing this up, Jonathan. I think the original intention was that Satan departed from Jesus, completely vanquished. Satan was vanquished, but I can see that the way it is worded is confusing. We'll see if we can't clarify it.

There is some confusion in the Bible over the word 'believe.' Jesus said that whoever 'believes' in Him shall have everlasting life; yet, the demons believe - and tremble! The word believe implies a personal relationship, an infilling of the Holy Spirit. It is not simply an intellectual trust, but one borne of being friends with God. Referring to the Holy Spirit, Jesus said, "Whoever believes in Me shall have rivers of living water bubbling up inside of him." So many false believers dismiss this verse with a shrug of their shoulders, saying, "Whatever that means!" However, having rivers of living water is the eternal difference of heaven and hell, God's favor or His wrath, of being a sheep in God's pastor or a rejected goat. Do you know Christ or is He a distant figure? When you pray, do you feel like you are talking to air or are you talking with your best friend? The basis of salvation is, 'Do you know Christ?" Do you know Him or will He say to you, "Depart from Me; I never knew you"? Christ died on a Cross so that we may know Him. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.
