Hey Sophiesophss, love your videos. But had a question about preparing shoes for restoration using Angelus Preparer/Deglazer or Acetone. But in order to paint the shoe, I know I have to prepare it first. But when using the Preparer, am I supposed to just wipe it enough to remove the original finish so the paint can bond? Or am I supposed to remove the paint entirely, kind of like a fresh canvas? Reason I ask is paint on some shoes is hard to remove without sometimes damaging the surface. Can I get away with wiping it down enough to remove just the finish, and then paint the area white before I do a new color? Just curious, sorry for writing a novel and I hope I explained myself ok lol. But any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Not really. There’s still a lot of material variation as well as a different effect in certain areas. There’s also the swoosh stitch marks.
