Pehle ap nay oiling karna hai. Phir ap nay knocking kar na hai. Ap nay thorasa knocking kay bad phir say oiling kar na hai phir say knocking. Ap is process ko 3-4 times repeat karlay. You can still oil the bat. Oiling can be done any time of the year if the bat willow seems dry.

It is best to apply half a teaspoon of oil with your fingers. If you use tissue paper, you have no way of telling how much you applied. Overoiling will kill bat stroke. In fact, no oiling is better than overoiling. One coat is more than enough. Avoid where handle is spliced in.

Seema, if the bat has developed a crack near handle, it can be fixed. Threading with glue will increase bat life and to make it more stronger knocking is the only best options. I hope you mean stronger = performance.

When you start seeing hairline grains fragments on bat, it means your bat is dry. That is when you need to oil again. If its a new bat, i recommend you to still oil.

Why do you want to dry it and if the bat is dry, apply 2 to 3 coat of raw linseed oil. You may not be able to recover your bat. Down under will not help ;)
