The pistons has a number imprinted on it, you should look if they are facing towards the mouthpiece or the bell and follow the sequence.

Thanks for the video! Question~~is it important to oil your valves before you’ve been playing and condensation builds in the horn? And do you ever use a cloth to wipe the valves down?

Hello, im in grade 9 and in band we play every day. Its been two weeks and i cant reach the notes that I used to for long periods of time. Ive always had this problem, but its gotten worse after 2 weeks of playing a lot. Is this normal or is there a problem? Thank you

My valves work great without oil. When I oil them they get sluggish. This is the case on both my trumpets. Any explanation?

Hmmm, not sure, but my best guess is that you're using an oil with too high a viscosity. You could try Hetman #1 for a lower viscosity and see if it helps your case. That said, if it ain't broke, maybe don't fix it!
