Want to learn the one arm push-up? If you're a beginner, use the ring archer push-up to increase your strength. This video teaches the most important progression to unlock 1 arm push-ups. Using rings is a great way to assist yourself from easy to hard difficulty, changing the angle relative to the floor.
With calisthenics we should work with the incline push-up to start with, this decreases your bodyweight making the move easier. This fitnessfaqs tutorial takes ‪@coacheugeneteo‬ who is a new to bodyweight exercises, step by step through the one arm push-up.

It’s encouraging to see Coach Eugene struggle on this exercise because I too struggle mightily with ring archer pushups! Great video, will have to keep this in mind next push workout with the archer.

The one arm push up is a good beginner goal, not because beginners can do it, but because you can reach the goal faster than other stuff like planche etc. It also has decent carry over to the 90 degree hold, which in turn has carry over to other skills.

I can do calisthenics just as well as Daniel. Well, the only problem I have is this thing called gravity that gets in my way. Okay, Daniel, how do you make gravity stop so you can do all those things? Come on, Daniel, you know you have a secret to this! LOL.

I’ve been doing these archers with my feet on a ball in a chair to add more instability. It is extremely harder the flatter you get the outrigger arm. But the instability that rings to the table makes everything a lot harder, especially the longer the straps are on the rings can make a simple exercise three times harder

I get a better stretch and pec activation doing just weighted ring pushups. I think my record for good form one arm pushups was 16 or 20. I will say my triceps probably benefited more than I previously thought before I started training for OAPU.

Hello, I absolutely love your content as it relies on up to date research and is oriented towards calisthenics and "weighted calisthenics" ; and seeing as you are both an athlete and a physiotherapist I really hope you can help me with a problem I have been dealing with my whole sports life (almost 20 years). I am extremely prone to tendonosis. Every single time, I find myself having to abandon my goals, lower both volume and intensity and do rehab exercises. It takes time, is boring and completely destroys any strength, muscle mass and explosiveness until I'm back to square one and have to do everything all over again. This cycle has been making me an eternal intermediate... But enough with the rant.... I've only been trying it for a few training sessions, but can the Heavy Slow Resistance training method allow people to ignore tendonosis, keep the weights heavy and keep the muscle mass and strength going up despite the presence of tendonosis ? Is the secret to just stop using any tendon elasticity and speed until the tendon heals? Do you think you could make a video on the HSR method ? That would be great. I can't seem to prevent tendonosis.... So maybe it's possible to just keep training over it with a few adjustments?

Hey Daniel, I'm writing this on your most recent video in hopes you'll see it. I have been suffering from costochondritis affecting my lifts. I saw your video from 5 years ago about this issue, can you tell me if you still stand by everything in that video? Or if since then, you would have different recommendations? THanks

I enjoyed the video, but it never really talks about one arm push ups, it only addresses the archer push ups... so the title is misleading. Other than that, great video.

He’s teaching the ways to get ready for one arm pushups lol.. and one important one is archer pushups..did you expect a 7min video to magically make you do one arm pushups?
@castulo
@castulo 14 сағат бұрын
@kaliber150 yeah, I get that, but I still feel the title is a bit misleading. Maybe something like one arm push-up progressions, or roadmap to one arm push-up would have been more clear. Anyway, not a big deal. His content is always great.

There is not a single one arm push up there and secondly we all have a set of rings in our bedroom, as beginners it's the thing to have.
