Leering cane just gives you few fractions of second to the shadowedge stun and is not working on cape root or hellion hood silence, in my opinion torch is still the best option for dagger.

I may just be a noob, so I was thinking, I think going against a mounted enemy would be the best with this build as with the cleric robe example people can pop defensives if you start the combo while they are not mounted. In corruoted dungeons and mists hunter hood is incredibly common and that would ruin the combo almost entirely.
