Very nice job showing the watches big enough for me to see, explaining so I understand and showing that it should actually work before putting the back on!

I had to search for your video again to say THANK YOU!!!! I've spent months, spent $100 ($50 on 2 different Bergeon tools that didn't work) trying to get all of my watch backs off as they've all died over the pandemic timeframe. I came across your video, tried this tool and within seconds the backs were off!! I couldn't believe it! $8, worth it. Thank you!!

IT WORKED!! I sent away for the tool, & got my dead watches all lined up, hoping to open at least ONE... They all popped off easily!! I'm thrilled!! I spent hours before with several screw drivers and knives, and not one would open. Thank you so much--I'm free from all those Jewelry Store charges all the time to put in new batteries. Great video & great product.

I just received my pry tool today. Mine must be a cheaper version, as the metal has tiny chips in it now. Didn't work using it the proper way you show, much like a shovel. I was about to give up but decided to turn it the other way and it worked. Very happy.

Thanks so much for posting the video. I was having difficulty with several watches and ordered basically the same device on Amazon and it worked great! Just wish I had watched your video sooner so I wouldn’t have scratched up the back of my watch with tools that didn’t work.

Hey I watched your vid a few times and decided to purchase the tool through your amazon link. I hope you get a commission off of the sale b/c the tool definitely works 💯 %. I have a Caravalle watch made by Bulova and this watch has a snap back case without a recess for a tool to be inserted. I have lots of watch tool from #1 screwdrivers to the yellow handle case back remover. None of them worked. Even a razor blade. The pry bar in your video worked like a champ. I’m so happy I saw your video and ordered the tool. I also have the same watch press and just like you said. The press is essential for reinstalling the case back to the watch body. What they say is correct. The Right Tools For The Right Job. Thanks again.

My snap-off-back watches are stubborn! Just like you say. I have other watch opening tools that will not get under the arched groove. The batteries from the department store replacements become depleted every eight months. I will order this tool. Thank you for your kind help.

I ordered a similar tool and of course it’s coming from China and I needed the watch for next weekend and the odds that I would get the tool within 3 weeks is slim to none. But, at least I will have it for next time.

UPDATE: I've been busy and not had time to update you about my purchase. This tool is fantastic! I was able to open a couple of watch cases that I could not open with the standard watch opening tool. Also, it is so much easier to use this to to open ALL watch cases. They should include this tool in every watch toolkit, instead of the sad little watch opener they have in the kits now. Thanks again for posting this video. I've reclaimed 4-5 watches of my own that needed batteries, as well as a few for friends. :)

The fact that is’s bent like a pry-bar/wrecking bar/nail-puller/staple-puller has to be a big part of the secret. If the gap is wide enough to accommodate the full width of the blade, you could twist the tool rather than push straight down, but the other part of the secret would be that the tool was made out of hardened tool steel (like a chisel) or it’s going to get bent. Most screwdrivers AREN’T tool steel. The only ones I’ve seen that ARE were in a set of gunsmiths screwdrivers, and those aint cheap.
@BlazPivk5 жыл бұрын
You never twist the tool. It scratches the watch. You push it in and use it as a lever. Also opening a watch is not the problem. The problem is closing it so that it's watertight for which a press is recommended.
