One oh my spare cars is a perfect daily I just havnt drove it but now that my wife wrecked her 2021 Trd 4 runner, I’m going to let her drive the passat and yesterday while jumping the car to take it to the shop for a tune up from sitting for 4-5 years the hood release handle inside the car broke off it pops back in but now it’s warm and stretched out so it does not open I didn’t have to use this method but I have in other cars and it’s worked amazing thank you for this video because now I can take off the logo bonnet and open it manually untill I get a new handle !!!!

AR Vehicle Services NO NO NO don’t pull the badge I just pulled mine and snapped one of the clips then rotated it clockwise and opened up. I own a 2008 Tiguan

Rotate it counter clockwise first!

You should be able to see the cable. If it helps use pliers and pull the cable

If only there was a way to release the parking brake when the caliper seized up. That would be good to know

Mate if your parking brake is locked it can be released just take the wheel off remove the brake caliper motor n unwind the caliper using a torx bit .iv done it many times

2010 manual tiguan se 1/8 turn anti clockwise th v.w badge DONT PULL it .. just broke mine 2 mins ago literally... 1/8 turn anti clockwise... plastic locking mechanism easily broke...
