Thanks for the video. I've made it a habit to try all of the whiskeys at my local liquor store. Never saw this before, so I grabbed it. IDK what they were going for here with the lid, but it's a total fail. The whiskey itself isn't bad. Reminds me of a poor imitation of Chivas Regal 18, which I'm not a big fan of. Even if I loved it, I'd never buy it again, thanks to the abhorrent lid. I'd happily buy any bottom shelf whiskey and mix it with something like Pennsylvania Dutch Birch Beer before attempting to deal with this lid again.

I checked my whiskey bottle collection. Sure enough, I had a Buchanan's 12 in there. I checked the bottle and, hey, it was a simple twist-off, no gimmicks required. Don't know how old the bottle is. Probably a minimum of 5 years old.

Great video, how'd you get 2 minutes from 30 seconds of information. 1. Twist the cap off instead of pulling 2. Smack the neck of the bottle while starting to pour. Why can't they just put that on the bottle?

Putting it in the bottle would be too easy. You got that right boss. I thought about that myself. You should have seen some other videos that were eight minutes. That was ridiculous. I was trying to make it as quick as possible but also show how to put the bottle cap in. I’m surprised the video even ranked. Sometimes they like longer videos to sell ads. That goes for KZbin and Google.

What if the seal breaks and you can’t twist it off

1. Make sure all the seal is off. 2. Make sure you did not throw away the light plastic cap (like in the video) thinking it’s part of the seal. 3. Hold the bottle by the base and grab the top of the cap, about an inch, and twist. Let me know if it worked.
