I was at a wedding reception last night and was about to share when nothing came out for me. This was the 1st video that came up. Couldn’t hear but seeing what you did and reading the comments helped me figure out to get it out. It is funny to see a lot of Spanish names on your comments cause I was sitting with a couple who is from Bogota Columbia. They said this is a very popular whisky over there.

That Tamper Proof Pour Socket is there for the simple reason that The House of Buchanan’s is one of the most sold Scotch Whiskies in Latin America, and is to prevent someone to refill it with a lesser quality scotch... This has been done for ages and it’s a common practice for every brand from Diageo, Chivas Brothers, Grants, etc.

Bought it a week ago at Sams because it was on sale. Didn’t know about the roller ball and poked at it with scissors for a minute like a idiot till I came to your site. Thanks. It’s ok but Sams has Johnny Walker Black for $29. Five bucks higher but better taste in my humble opinion.

What you do is tip it all the way over perpendicular and quickly tip it back, or you can smack it while tipping/shake it like you did.

I couldn't the slow pour spout to let anything out, so I dug the parts of it out with a pocket knife. Buchanan's is a great whiskey, but there are others just as good or better without that goofy spout.

It’s unbelievable to me that Buchanans has such a stupid mechanism on their bottle. I’ll never buy their scotch again I had to use pliers to get into the bottle and get it to pour in the amount that I wanted. Why in the world waste money on such a stupid stupid idea
