Using the new memory cam connector as a means to break the board into two pieces is an intelligent design change. That should make the board cheaper to manufacture for dell and add to the limited repairability for external slots, especially.

Can Latitude 7640 have multiple storage disks? My Latitude E6540 has one mstata, one typical 2.5HDD and one 2.5HDD in dvd bay. Can we have same here ? It seems Latitude 7640 has just one M.2 slot for SSD, so does it mean we cannot have 2.5" spindle HDD ?

No you can’t you can have Ssd or nothing get with the times, them 2.5 Hdd are out of date now
