Very good question Brother Obviously CT step down current and step up's voltage because current and voltage both are inverse..... primary side of CT High current and low voltage and secondary side current is very low in order of 1A or 5A and Voltage is very high which is in order of several KV or MV..... I think your doubt is solved...

Kuch months pehly hmary plant pay bhi esa incident hua tha , yahn bhi 5 mega watt ki synchronous motor thi jis ka load compressor tha or us pay maintenance chal rhi thi . (remote) sy operator NY motor run ki or jb off krna chaha to motor bnd nh hue , to emergency main motor ko SGR main present MV panel ka door khol k mechanicaly trip kraya gya tha , reason us ka yehi tha k trip coil stuck ho gae thi.
