Hey I don't comment too often but I wanted to say I bought a new truck that has the Tripac Evolution in it, and I've been having some trouble trying to figure out how to operate the thing because I'm used to having the battery powered ones. Your video helped me out a lot man and also let me know how to pre-trip the thing so I wanted to say thanks a lot! You really do make a great video with the close up pictures and the written instructions to go along with the video, fantastic! My setup is a little different because I have it on a Freightliner. I also pushed on that bottom "button" thinking it was a button to turn it on. When it didn't do anything I left it alone. Thankfully it doesn't seem to have messed it up lol

great video question my apu stay on standy mode does not run fan or a/c with out me mannually turing it on my truck 2020 freightliner key off position on buttons on front at all. how can i set it to automaticly turn on and set fan speed automatily thnks great video better than any other videos i seen

I've always had to set evey time. I don't believe there is a memory or pre programed mode. Wish there was but it not.

Runs off the truck's coolant. Mine was tied in. Just make sure you truck coolant is at its proper level

My Thermoking APU won't start! All it does is beeeeeeeeep, beeeeeeeep! I checked fuses, connections, wires, oil, etc. It won't start. I can't find the reset button. It just won't start! Dont know why. Was onnthe truck installed from factory when i bought it. Have all the manuals everything to it. I may just juxk it or scrap it if i can't get it to work, though. It's 2,200 pounds of dead weight on my truck i can do without.

That the main power switch outside on the unit. You can leave it on unless working or Pre-Triping it. It will shut off once you start your truck

Yeah you can also mount on top of your frame up against the sleeper. Some of our 389's are that way.

Yes, the shutoff valves he pointed out allow you to close the lines so no coolant is lost from the APU if main lines are being serviced and vice/versa.

I don't drive for J&J, but 1st time tripac user. I guess I have an older unit, it has a digital HMU. If I understand, in normal or standby modes, the apu will monitor the batteries?

Can't speak for 100% sure but almost positive that they all do. I always leave my fan running when I'm on home time to circulate the air and Unit starts and stops as batteries get low.

All APU'S I've ever had were tied into my trucks Fuel line so the fuel came from the tanks. I've personally never seen one that had its own fuel tank.

Mine turns off once I put my key In the on position. Even on my 579 pete it turns off within 5 seconds after your key has been put in the on position.

Check to see if the fuse is popped. I do know where it would be located so you might have to do some research. Sounds like a electrical issue to the pannel

Heat still runs on it you have to wait a few minutes for the coils to heat up. Atleat all mine always seemed to take a few minutes. But shit bro if yours don't or have a way to heat..... that would suck bro
