@Marlin-56 well they have a window system, the lay down machine picks it up like a combine , Now a end dumps are always good for Demolition

Now that's a lot of work for nothing! Dump directly into the paver. We're in the North East , not much use for belly dumps up here.

Well, I suppose that's no stranger than a transfer dump! All that work for the same load we get in one trailer!

Isn’t easier on the clutch and the truck in general if you get out of the truck and see the jaws clenched around the pin?? With a heavy trailer that pulling on it doesn’t always work. I had a 50k load of cheese on in the 80’s. Tugged on it and thought it was latched. Pulled out headed for the shaky and dropped that trailer. We ended up calling a wrecker. From then on it don’t take that long to crawl under and look.

I would say either way works, but it all depends on the driver’s preference! Some like to get out and others want to hook and pull! But just looking at the 5th wheel clamped around the pin can still be deceiving seeing the jaws closed doesn’t mean that the 5th wheel is locked completely. Thanks for the great comment, we appreciate it!

@@mtmtrailers Agree 100% I apologize if you thought I was being negative. I was just relating a situation. Retired now but returning that comment so fast probably says great things about your sales and service dept. I know you have a great equipment. Thanks again.
