This is brilliant. We were just watching your how to invest in CMC video today, and were just thinking about how to put together a portfolio. Perfect timing!

Have you done a video in comparing High growth ETF's portfolio when young and switching to High dividends near to retirement vs high dividends ETF's for lifetime and the tax costs

Very interesting, thanks for this. People should really keep in mind that recent performance (i.e. the last 5 years) is in no way representative of what returns we can reasonably expect in the future. We've just gone through one of the biggest booms in history, and still haven't really sunk back to real lows. (We may not see massive crashes, but, who knows? Stagnation is certainly possible.) I think it would be instructive, more realistic for these kind of sites to show samples of other decades. For example, if you had invested that $50K in the S&P 500 in 2000, your position would have dived, and it would have taken you 13 years just to get back to where you were. (Not even counting the high cost of inflation and opportunity costs.) But too many investing websites don't like showing those kinds of stats... it puts the punters off.

Good video. Is there a common portfolio builder which may capture ETF's from different funds and not just Betashares ETF's?
