I first came across Professor Pym's work during my literature review process and found it incredibly intriguing, which led me to delve deeper and discover this channel. The use of a digital platform to promote critical thinking and increase visibility is truly an everlasting legacy. In my view, knowledge without heritage is akin to a kingdom without a carefully groomed heir. On the surface, it may look and sound the same, but without a real succession of tradition, it's not truly alike. While Professor Pym begins this video as an educational piece on translation studies, it conveys so much more. It delves into philosophical aspects and the very form of his presentation may reflect his deep thinking, whether intentional or not. This is not just about translation, but a broader perspective on research and knowledge. Thank you, Professor Pym, for sharing your insights and contributing to the rich tapestry of academic heritage.

Really grateful for all these videos that you shared on this platform, from which any part of the world may have access to the lectures and interviews by top-notch scholars in the world. As a beginner on Translation Studies, I have a question on the research methodology you mentioned in a lecture that we have done too much on emprical studies. I am a little confused on this, how should we do researches for the future studies? Thanks a lot!

Thank you for the content. Could you recommend any studies/authors done around the actual teaching within a T&I programme or other translator training programmes?
