I use binders for everything. The one I am so proud about is my children's school picture binder. I only order one 8X11 picture and put it in a sleeve and next to that picture it has a paper to write down their grade, teacher name, friends, favorite book, and field trip. I guess this year will be totally different.

This is one of the greatest videos on paper organisation that I've stumbled upon! Not only because it's neat and right to the point, but because you actually share your thought process and explain how you shift things around depending on your needs! It feels like a very "real" approach to organisation, and it gave me some ideas as to how I could tackle it in a way that suits my lifestyle. Thank you!

I love this! One thing I would add is if making a binder is too time-consuming for anyone, to start with a file box system, where the categories are in hanging file folders so you can just drop the stuff in a hanging folder. Takes less time and it is a good start for those of us that have a long way to go!! You could then take it up a notch and go ahead and put it all into a binder system. That is what I am going to do to get things going. Especially this time of year when school supplies and binders should be on sale. You are such an inspiration Cass!

Yes! That's what I do. I have one big binder that has my to-do's and things I need to keep in order and then a pretty wooden file box on my kitchen counter with folders for coupons, receipts, bills, etc that need to be quickly dropped into. It's been working well to keep my counters clear. I'm sure It can be streamlined more, though. 😊
@wayfarinstranger24444 жыл бұрын
@@victoriaoliver9958 Yes, that's awesome. My goal is just to get things off counters and surfaces cleared. The quicker, the better, and more realistic for me in my lifestyle right now. I do have a binder for menu planning and cleaning, but for everyday paper clutter, I need a quick place to just drop it and go. ( I guess I would be considered a Macro organizer at this point.) I love that you have a pretty box. When things are pretty, it just makes it more enjoyable. :)

I’m a Bee with butterfly wings - but I find that Binders just aren’t for me - I love setting them up but I abandon them after a while and end up with paperwork piles and binders! But having taken onboard all your great advice for organising for Bees and Butterflies I’ve finally figured out a system for my current paperwork that actually works for me! - Magazine Files - a ‘requires action’ one, a ‘to be filed’ one; and the rest hold colourful display books for each project, I have an Expanding Organiser for long term important docs and a stash of reporters notebooks for my endless ideas, lists and braindumps! I still get to just drop stuff in macro groups when I’m in busy/lazy/easily distracted butterfly flitting mode, but it’s detailed, pretty and visual for when I’m full Bee!!! I crushed the paper category during my KonMari declutter. I have a thin folder at my desk for action items, a "current year" file and a "permanent" file, THAT'S IT! I don't own a printer and I treat all paper that comes into the house as to-be-trashed once it's been addressed. It's amazing how my organizing system got so simple once I had that mind shift and look at paper as an enemy to be vanquished! I DO like the idea of the goal planner, tho. I don't think I'd do it in binder format, but I may incorporate some of the structure in my bullet journal.

My personality type CANNOT handle more than 2 and I still feel compelled to combine in the budget one so I can grab just the one and use it for EVERYTHING, lol! "Let's make our kid's childhoods weird and mess them up so they have to go to therapy"..... OMG!!! I love this!!!! Thank goodness we have great kids or they really would be a mess... their Father is a firefighter/paramedic/police officer....I am a paramedic/RN and if you know anything about the twisted sense of humor etc and stuff that goes on in a First Responder's life, you can just imagine how the kid's grow up!!!! They could make a therapist lose his/her mind!!!

Thank you for your service, truly! I have had my life saved by paramedics and that feeling of gratitude never goes away.

My step mom saved a cute story my step sis wrote in 2nd grade about how to cook the turkey. Every year she would take it out of the binder she kept it in (with other school papers) and hang it on the fridge. It was so embarrassing to her but it was really cute :)
