I am a typical overwhelmed polymer clay beginner who has no space and no natural light but a lot of ideas...thank you very much for all of your tips. It was very helpful to me...and I better plan a trip to Bunnings...☺️

I love the way you emphasize, staying away from the phone. I have ADHD and my phone is my nemesis. ❤

Yes, it can make it so hard to stay on task! I am definitely much more productive when it’s out of sight!

Love this. Question(s) for you - Could you (unless I’ve missed it in one of your videos) do a video on your clay cutters? Do you design & print them yourselves? If you do make your own are there any tips/tricks or machine preferences? Or if you don’t, do you outsource from another artist?

We are actually polymer clay cutter makers and that is the main part of our business 😊 We use Prusa machines and love them! My best advice if you’re looking at getting into 3d printing is to get a kit and build it so you know how everything works and how to pull it apart for maintenance and fixing. If you are into technology and problem solving it is such a fun thing to get into - our printers drive me crazy some days but I love being able to design and print our own creations!

@@myclayco Awesome, thank you! I have an Ender 3 and I’ve surely had my struggles with it. I did build it so at least I’m on the right track! 😆 I’ve just been wondering what professional businesses use so I can make better quality products. I appreciate all your help!

@@emschrader418 oh sorry! I didn't realise you'd already gotten into it! Honestly I have seen other businesses with enders create the same quality cutters as us so it is totally doable! The tricky part is getting your settings right (both software and hardware). The other tricky thing is that all printers are different so I know that even with all of our printers I have to individually dial in the settings (phew!). So if you're not quite happy with your cutter quality, just try a few different things and see what the results are and hopefully you land on the perfect settings!

@@myclayco Oh it’s no problem. 😉 I’ve just been struggling a bit on getting things perfect. It’s such a tricky (for me) process!

@@emschrader418 Oh, don't worry, it's not just you! I think setting up, maintaining and fixing our printers is still the toughest part of running MyClayCo for me - lucky I love problem solving but geez, some days I'm ready to pop them in the bin 🤣

Hey Ladies Great Video Can I Ask Where Do You Get Peg Boards From Please & Thank You 💕💕
@myclayco
@myclayco 3 ай бұрын
Thank you ☺️ Our large pegboard that we show in the video was purchased through Costway Australia (Costway also sell these through Bunnings marketplace). Smaller ones that I have at home though are from Kmart and ikea 😊 They’re pretty easy to get, it all depends on the colour and size you want/need for your space

Thank you for such a thorough video. One thing I thought might be added is a labeler - for example your pot strips on 9:11 are written with marker that appears to be coming off - labels might be a better solution there. Also in 18:36 you have two identical pink folders - perhaps labeling the spine would be helpful. I do have a question - I struggle with massive amounts of scraps. I was intrigued by your method of storing little chunks of clay. I am presuming those are bits still out of the package? So where do you put the processed scraps? Thank you, again, for sharing with us.

Such good ideas! Thank you! Yes, we just put our little scraps once we’ve finished making in our scrap bowls and then probably once a month spend an hour (or so 😅) processing them into cubes that we put in the storage containers we show. We found that if we just left them in the scraps bowl we often didn’t use them, but we always now go to our containers before getting fresh blocks of clay ☺️

Thank you 🥰 we bake polymer clay in a normal domestic oven but you can also use a tabletop oven like a toaster oven (we have a video on baking polymer clay if you want to check it out 😉)
