I'm ngl tho, I had ancoety issues my entire life stemming from childhood abuses. I NEVER ate in the morning. I struggled with addiction and everything, there was nothing I wouldn't do for momentary relief from my anxiety. Most of it was solved woth proper diet and exercise. I was overweight my entire life too and I managed to go from 230-165 in a year. I used a similar diet to JPs all beef diet but I just did it caveman style (fruit, meat dairy and water. It works bro. My health is better in every way. I'm sober, I don't get panic attacks, I'm not depressed, I don't sleep more than 6 hours a night and I'm well rested. It's awesome lol

I have noticed this personally. Usually I got anxious, but as a teen I didn't have a lot of food so I'd often find being in a high stress environment made me very anxious, and that anxiety led to stomach pains, so I tried finding ANYTHING. You get real creative in stress and hunger pains simultaneously, but I noticed everytime I ate, it quelmed my anxiety like I had habituated feelings of anxiety because I was hungry and my brain just mislabeled the signals it received. If you're still anxious bud, then there is a deeper issue and it's not bad to seek help or even guidance. Not everyone wants someone else's hand in their plate of food ya know what I mean?

Breakfast makes a huge difference! Also if I feel anxiety coming on, I stick my chest out and say to myself “fucking bring it on”.. the anxiety withers away, I feel by doing this I kind of disarm the anxiety, I starve the little demon of its food supply. It’s hard to be anxious when you’re standing proud and you’re ready and willing to take it on.

@@DoktorrFlow mixing it up between cheese based breakfast varieties & peanut butter based ones. Not over eating in the mornings, but eating just a few bites over after that of being full. (Within a comfortable range). There may be a random day out of the blue where my anxiety is up (mostly on nights where I don't get enough sleep or in the mornings where I don't eat quite enough). Routine also plays a very vital role. Feeling of fullness for me lasts a good six hours and my anxiety feels significantly lessened throughout my day due to this feeling of fullness. Heck, even with caffeine, which use to make me extremely jittery and anxious, also drinking water and hitting my daily water goals helps with the anxiety portion and also helps to counteract the caffeine from making me feel too jittery. For me every 8oz of coffee I drink 16 oz of water. I go to the bathroom like crazy but it's all been worth it, lol. So praise God, still going strong 💪🏻

@sherbetstraw there are 2 different types of cholesterol, good and bad, and eggs are high in good cholesterol. Japanese ppl in average eat 10 eggs a day and also have the highest life expectancy. Anyone that says "eggs are high in cholesterol" without breaking down the types of cholesterol are just parroting dated health advice from the 90s. Also egg whites by themselves are high in omega 6s and extremely inflammatory, better to eat the yolks without is high in omega 3 fats that most people's bodies are starving for.

@@sherbetstraw JBP has great life advice but his health advice isnt that great. I actually advise eating one meal per day, and have been doing so for 4 years. We didnt evolve eating 3-6 times per day, for most of the human era we had to go hunt down our food before we were able to eat. Fasting is very important for cellular repair, which is why fasting is a staple in many cultures and religions for 1000s of years as a "cleansing" process. If you want decent health advice go to dr. sten ekberg, dr. berg, thomas delauer, and dr. jason fung. Following their advice I lost 100 lbs in 7 months, have more energy than I did in high school, and reversed pre diabetic symptoms.

A lot of mental health issues are begun or worsened by you physical health. Eat healthy and regularly. Sleep 7 or more hours, take a nap if you need to catch up. Go for a walk outside. It will make a big difference in your outcomes. I was experiencing post-partum depression a--combination of health and problems at home--I was having suicidal ideation. I started taking walks with my baby. Long ones. It kept me away from angry people, gave me space and time to think, helped my body to heal and cope, and ultimately gave me the courage and willpower to stand up to the overwhelming emotional burden my family was imposing on me. I was finally able to fix my thinking and stand up for myself just by disciplining myself to practice self care. It changed my attitude about the insurmountable problems in front of me.

When I've got a hard day coming and don't want the drag down a high carb breakfast brings on I eat a can of sardines. Not only protein and fat, but all the little bones provide everything necessary for bones and teeth, nerves and brain. Also, and possibly more important, all the trace minerals that have been removed from or never existed in your everyday food supply. A congressional study done in 1937 showed that our farmland had no remaining trace minerals left in it. Plants can't make them out of thin air and farmers only add the tree that produce the largest yield per acre.

Sorry ! Extremely wrong information. Check intermittant fasting methods and advantages. The link between 'feeling anxious' and 'eating' (at breakfast or whenever or for whatever craving) is just an example of 'bad reasoning', using 'container concepts' (what fgs means 'anxious'?), making the 'advice' a ship that goes to the ocean's deep ! A pity. And now I feel 'anxious' all of a sudden. Well, I am going to concentrate on breathing, having a glas of water and lemon juice, and thinking about feeling not anxious !
@jondon3182

Instead of calling it bad reasoning, can you please explain why his statement was wrong? Not eating in the mornings has actually been shown to spike insulin levels and make it harder to rebalance blood sugar levels throughout the day - His example was perfectly valid, high stress situations particularly will raise cortisol levels, which in turn have the physiological reactions previously mentioned
@geertheymans8258

@@jondon3182 Quote. "Not eating in the mornings has shown to spike insuline levels ..." . Show me some double blinded studies for this quotation which have been published and reviewed, which have not been sponsered by the food industry. And what about bad reasoning ? I seemed to be cristal clear about it, i.e. developing a kind of intellectual activity, not by defining concepts, as e.g. 'anxious', but by making 'statements' and 'linking' those statements in an seemingly unbreakable chain. In this case 'feeling anxious' and 'not having breakfast'. Give history a moment. 10.000 generations of humans as 'gathering hunters', the forebearers for all our biological processes. And furthermore 600 generations of 'farmers'. And 10 generations to start eating 'highly processed foods'. From 1 meal a day (10.000 generations) ... to at least 3 meals a day (10 generations). Do you really think our biological blueprint has adapted to the 3MAD system ? Not even speaking about the quality of the 'highly processed' foods (as corn syrup, polysaturated trans-fats) depleted of any real nutritional value. And about human 'generations' : lisbdnet.com/how-many-generations-of-humans/. But I favour the idea 'walk the talk'. Just two sources about 'intermittent fasting' and 'skipping breakfast'. From Harvard : www.health.harvard.edu/heart-health/time-to-try-intermittent-fasting. And from the New England Journal of Medicine : www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/nejmra1905136. Enjoy the reading. And the nice reasoning. And, if by any chance you could find or spend some time reading the scientific bible of physiology, a pleasure to recommend Guyton & Halls 14th edition : www.elsevier.com/books/guyton-and-hall-textbook-of-medical-physiology/hall/978-0-323-59712-8 . Blessed scientific reasoning. Splendid definitions. Wonderful descriptions. And Freud still readily available to talk about 'anxious feelings'.
