I believe that means every morsel we eat and every sip we take should be for a reason. And we should give thanks for every crumb. Because we don’t deserve to eat or drink, but to be crucified. But our Lord who was blameless was beaten and murdered naked in front of a city of people instead of you and I. So every time we eat we are eating by the Grace of God. Not because we deserve it. And we need to discern that. Which is why fasting is so important.
