Satan does not fear the proud or self-righteous Christian. Those who think they are saved. Those who can’t see their own sinfulness. Those who regard themselves as Saints, better than everyone else. These Christians fail to see repentance as living and active. A moment by moment act of humility. They fail to see the importance of asking God for mercy. “For I have not come to call the righteous but sinners to repentance” if we regard ourselves as righteous. Gods can’t help us and the devil knows it. We need to see ourselves as sinners and call on to Christ for mercy momentarily. This act of humility is the greatest weapon against the devil.

it's good to keep on doing fasts at different times . . . Instead of being like "i did it then because of __ but now i don't need that." ... Need a compelling reason to do it? It’s good to crucify our flesh. If you’re slothful (like I can be) and if that behavior is getting in the way of a goal, it’s also good to fast until the goal is completed, bc withholding food is sometimes the only thing that gets a sloth moving! Also preaching to myself haha!
