Very nice show. You're very smart and I think you would be a humongous hit back in the 1920s when people listened to their radios. I think you are bringing it back in style. Keep it up.

22:50 i completely agree. Many ppl like to shame others because things didn't work out the best for them and it just doesn't do anybody any good. They don't contribute to the solution but to the problem.

Failure is necessary. If anything it is from failure that we grow. It's no different to happiness and sadness. We need both and we continue to experience both. Failure has to be the key ingredient to moving forward in your life

Good and evil balance seems like a justification to our cruelty or at least alleviates guilt. It never made sense to me. Who said there needed to be evil?
@timotot123
@timotot123 5 жыл бұрын
@@tylerm7300 I don't agree that we require a balance of good and evil. We have a choice of one or the other. If we choose good, then we transmit that goodness onto others. We transmit evil, then we end up in all sorts of trouble not only internally but from the impact that results upon those who we wreck havoc upon. Some who have chosen the path of evil may get lucky and see the light eventually, hopefully leading them back on the right path, but many don't even get that far due to the destructive force that evil is

Thank you for this. My wife always says the universe always gives us what we need in a time of need. I experienced a moment of failure a couple days ago and I felt terrible about, it ate at me all day. Now this video comes out and I couldn’t help but think about my wife and what she tells me. I needed this lecture and I appreciate so much that it came from you. Keep up the great work!

The more accomplished and hardworking you are, the more things feel like failures that others might consider success. John is talking about his "failures" in terms of his content and output but he's seen as extremely successful and beloved. Often we're our own toughest critics (this is especially true for those who are successful in their fields)

I am an old lady and I have learned the things you talked about. I am glad you have learned it so young. One thing I have learned to say when people say bad things about me or how I am doing something I just say, "I am sorry you are not happy." They are the one with the problem. Thank you for the podcast I always enjoy listening to you.

No. No you aren’t. Maybe your parents expectations are unrealistically high. Maybe they are difficult to please. Maybe their idea of success is different from yours. Maybe they don’t understand what you are trying to accomplish with your life. Or maybe they just have never told you explicitly that they are actually proud of you. 🙂
