I lost my father this year, and since then have been trying to keep up. Due to COVID, I couldn't even see him which still haunts me every moment. I know all those coming to this video are looking to manage their grief, we are in this together. Strength to all my brother and sisters.

Read Bhagavad Gita. It will stabilize emotions and give his soul and yours alot of blessings. Chapter 3 is good to read , it will free his soul from any sufferings and it will free you of any sins you may have committed towards him in this lifetime you shared together. Read in one sitting Chapter 3.

Sun sets but we don't grieve for it coz we know that it will rise again tomorrow. But once our loved ones dies, they won't come to us tomorrow again.

The soul never dies according to Hinduism, the person who died would have already taken the next birth and his/her new family would be rejoicing while we griev.

@@osiris1102 God bless you! Losing a loved one is one of the hardest things to endure on this Earth. I would love to share my best friend's story with you. A story of hope. Precious Memories-By Sonya Lakey Family Story Little did our family of six know that Friday evening, September 24th, 2021, would be the last night our family would be complete. We laughed together, played games, sang, and enjoyed listening as our 16-year-old son, Ethan, played the piano for us. I packed a lunch for Ethan for a church mountain hike he was going on the following day. My mother (who was visiting from out of state) and I woke early with Ethan on Saturday morning. He hugged me and smiled, never pulling away or rushing me. He got in the car, waved, said he'd see me later and he loved me. It was hard to watch my "new driver" heading out on his own that morning. As Ethan pulled out of the gate, I turned to my mother and said, "It's just so hard letting go." Little did I know how much "letting go" I was really doing. That was the last time I saw Ethan. He did not make it home that evening. That afternoon, a friend tried to contact my husband, leaving an urgent message to call him back. He tried several times to return the call to no avail. As we were preparing supper, an overwhelming feeling of deep concern for Ethan filled my heart. I quietly blinked back tears. I glanced out the window, half expecting to see a police officer pull up to the house, but no one arrived. However, within a few minutes, a patrol car DID pull into the driveway. In my heart, I feared the worst. My husband and I went out to meet the officer, who confirmed our fears. Hesitantly, he told us our son had fallen off of a bluff and had succumbed to his injuries. Our hearts were crushed; they still are. Yet, in all of our brokenness, deep, continual grief and loneliness, our family has such a blessed Hope and assurance that we will see our dear son and brother again. You see, when Ethan was a young boy, he was saved; he put his faith in Jesus alone to forgive his sins and to take him to Heaven when he died. He realized some very important truths from the Bible that he would want to share with you. His Story Everyone is a sinner. Sin is any violation of God’s Law. God is holy, just and righteous, and He cannot allow sin in His presence. Ethan realized that he - like all of us - had sinned; and his sin separated Him from God. “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; ” (Romans 3:23) “Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:” (Romans 5:12) He understood that, because of his sin, he deserved to spend eternity in Hell. “For the wages of sin is death;” (Romans 6:23a) [Wages: price] “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.” (Revelation 21:8) Ethan believed that Jesus, God’s Son, paid the price for all sin when He died on the cross - because His sinless sacrifice was the only thing that could satisfy the just demands of a righteous, holy God. Jesus was buried in a borrowed tomb, but He arose the third day, triumphant over sin, death, and Hell. Jesus is alive today! “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) Ethan was sorry for his sin, repented (turned), and received by faith the free gift that God offered to him. “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “...but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23b) Because of this great salvation, Ethan lived his life serving Jesus. He worked hard to spread this Good News to the world. He is alive in Heaven with Jesus today; and because of this great HOPE in Christ, we know we will see him again soon - not because he was a great kid, but because of his faith in the great Saviour! “And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.” (John 10:28) Your Story What about you? What if you had fallen to your death that day - What if you were to die today? Where will you spend eternity - Heaven or the Lake of Fire? There will not be any parties in the Lake of Fire. It is a place of eternal torment for those who reject God's Son. The Word of God is very clear that there is only One Way to Heaven. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6) We did not know that Ethan would step into eternity that day; however, because he put his faith in Jesus alone for his salvation, Ethan was ready to go. Some day - perhaps today - you will take your last breath here on earth, and you will step into eternity. Where you spend eternity is determined by what you do with Jesus Christ. Will you accept Him or reject Him? You are not promised another day or another breath. Eternity begins soon - Are you ready? “...Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved…” (Acts 16:31b) “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13) “(...behold, now is the day of salvation.)” (2 Corinthians 6:2c) ****************************** This testimony has been made into a tract form as well, so if you or your church are interested in having them to pass out, please go to libertyfaith.net and you will find the contact info there. God bless! Tribute to Ethan Lakey kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5nSk5aHj5uEmJo

Lost my elder brother,37 due to covid. Every moment is a struggle now and nothing seems important. I wish I could rewind time and give him a tight hug and never let him go. This pain and guilt is so unbearable. Still I have to be (or pretend to be) strong for the sake of my mother, father, his wife , his two little kids and my own kids. Only this feeling of responsibly is keeping me going otherwise I have no wish to even exist in this cruel world.

This is an amazing answet to a very sensitive question. We spend our entire life in running behind the pleasure of our relatives and loved ones. But we don’t understand that this body has to go one day. Only relative we have is Lord Krishna. If we attach our heart to him only and do our duty in the world, it will be easier to accept when they leave.

Everything is temporary in this world and all this relationships will end someday . hence the ultimate permanent is the relationship with God. Decide human form is too precious to overcome the grief of loss of loved ones. Something that was bound to happen and why do we have to get dejected. Even everything will be coming to end . Thanks Shri Swamiji for giving us the strength to bear the loss of loved ones and move ahead in life with the knowledge and wisdom of the ultimate truth . A must watch for all as we will be losing some loved ones sometime in our life unexpectedly and we will be in great grief and shock. Jai Ho !

I recently lost my father to covid and it was so sudden within a month our lives were shattered. My father knew he couldn't make it through and asked us to take him home to stop his medication but till the time when we got the news of putting him on ventilator we still believed that he will over come it. we were sooo happy until it happened we had beautiful planning together and I had a long list what would I do after I start working. I have soo much pain within me still a feeling of regret that I could have done this and that to save him. this fear of guilt and regret is killing me at times I think no I won't be in pain anymore I will do everything what my father wanted me to do and then I feel why should I do all these when my father is not there to be proud for me. I miss him soooo much. People around me who overcame covid comes and tell their stories how they got better and many people still believes that my father died because we kept him in hospital, they make me feel more pain and question myself did I do everything to protect my dad?

I lost my father 1 month ago due to sudden massive heartattack, we were talking with him few minutes before, God, how can you do this to us, you should have showed us little sign before, by the time we rushed to hospital, he is no more, i still can't believe this? Will this ever happen? Few seconds person is gone, He is the best father and my support system.. I can't ever imagine my life with out him. Dad, all your life you worked hard for the family, by the time we want to give you back ( Exactly 3 months back, we moved to new house, we setup it with all comforts) you are no more.. 😭😭 This makes us even sad.. God, whats ur logic, my dad is there to work hard for us, and he should not live life happily? He should have stayed with us 10 more years.. Why have you done this to us 😭😭

Same thing happened with me, whole life my mom struggled alot for us to give a good life, and now when I got a govt job and we are constructing home for my mom and dad, my mom left me at sudden. I can't believe it still, and I'm not understanding how to move on. My mom was not a humane she was God ,she never enjoyed anytime in her life she only worked hard for us and when the time come to give back to her she left. It's totally unfair I have lot of dreams for my mom, not it's waste for me to continue further my life.

Let my thoughts come to you after I am gone, like the afterglow of sunsets at the margin of starry silence- Rabindranath Tagore. Having lost my husband suddenly just 3 months ago, I feel lost and terribly sad. But the above lines and your explanation makes me calmer. We know all these Truths but practicing in such times requires tremendous faith and devotion to the Divine. For He indeed holds us in the palm of His Hands says Sri Aurobindo.

Losing your loved ones is extremely painful. When you are young and lose your parents you feel their absence all the time but then you have to go back to your studies and jobs and keep yourself occupied. When you lose your husband, your whole life changes. After your parents, husband is the only person who puts up with all your anger, sentiment, resentment and you never think that the love of your life won't be there one day. You won't have anyone to share your life, noone to ask for advice and guidance, it doesn't make any difference even if you are financially independent. My life has become meaningless. I wait for the day when I will have the realisation that nothing belongs to us and we can't judge God's will.

This's the universal truth and reality of life. Bcuz of ignorance we just forget our original Identification in world and comes under grief, deprecation by left of someone who's dear to us in material world. Should accept the truth that God's only our eternal soulmate, by understanding this theory we should live practically.

I lost my grandfather three days ago. He raised me since my birth as a father. I promised him to meet him on his birthday. I couldn’t come because of my job. He said when you come we will celebrate then . I lost him to covid despite my best efforts . I feel helpless . I cant stop crying. I came to this video thinking that wherever he is, he is at peace, he was the most gentle soul i ever saw in this world .

I lost my father 2 months back and I feel I too died the same day. I still cant overcome the loss, I still feel like he is somewhere around and will be back home to us soon. I miss him every day, every minute every second of my life. I cant think about the life without him. I know that everybody has to leave one day, but my Dad's sudden loss has left me alone in this dark world. I am married with two small kids. They are with be all the time but still I am unable to bear the loss. Whatever said in the video is very generic and is said by all, it is very common thing to say to ppl like us, but its really difficult for me to bear the loss. As he said we never feel loss when sun sets that because we know sun will be up and shining again next morning, can he bring back my father again to my life the same way, NO, its easy to say to detach oneself from the loss and move on. Move on for what, I see nothing in my life to move on. I dont want anything from this materialistic world. I just need my Dad back into my life. My 5 year old son keeps asking me when will grandfather comeback, I want to meet him. Please do a video call I want to see him. I am left speechless. Even my 1 year old daugher misses her grandfather, I can see her wandering eyes. My father has five brothers and my little one when sees one of them who looks almost similar to my Dad, immediately goes to him and embraces and lays on his shoulder, but after a moment realises its not my grandfather. Such is a situation in my life, I am not able to work properly, which I have to for my family. I cant see my mom and sister who are too going through the same pain each passing day. I dont think I will ever get over the loss.

The process of grieving is natural on the loss of a loved one, and it must be so, and we have to go through the process. But the grieving has to stop in a few days. The feel of loss will be there for weeks and months and years, but we have to get along in our lives, focusing on God and seva, and doing our duty well!

He has gone to the five phases of grief developed by psychologists. He is correct that everything is temporary here, if we were robots we could set the 12 days and “Move on” from the grief but we are not.. depending on who goes changes our all lives and for some has a bigger impact than for others.. God wants us to be happy but He knows us and understands us if we get stuck in grief and He is there with us. God doesn’t take away, we lose the ability to see these who goes (I was watching tv and fell asleep... when 8 hours later I woke up the tv was still on but I had been asleep so I had not been able to hear it or see it, these who leaves their physical body are still there but we feel asleep to them, we become unable to see them and hear them). We must move forward because we have no other choice, this life is a boot camp, we are here to learn what God has to teach us and then we also go home.
