thank you, I have the same overlocker and don’t use it as often as my sewing machine. This inspires me to have another go. It would be lovely if you could show some more sorts of projects that the overlocker could be used for.

Thank you very much for showing us using our serger or over to finish off some pillows. I always have my lock set up and use it occasionally so now I have a new purpose. I do have a couple of pillow tops. I haven’t finished.

I bought myself a cheap overlocker, it does everything I need and I don’t feel guilty that I spent a lot of money on something that’s hardly used. The best bit of advice I got was to practice, practice, practice threading it from scratch when I first got it until I could do it without thinking about it. I very rarely need to thread it this way but I know how to do it when the need arises. I was terrified of mine when I first got it but it’s not that scary and a handy piece of kit to have.

I bought an over locker years ago and have never used it, I don’t know how, plus the kids turned the knobs so now it’s not where it should be. Luckily I found a video on KZbin on how to use it and will one day spend some time learning how to use it. lol

I love my serger! I finish my quilts on a serger before binding. Making a bedspread is a snap with a serger. I recently used it to serge fabric strings together.

It falls into a box tray … you can empty as you go !

You should get one. So worth the money! I find I use it more than my sewing machine. Especially for knit garments.
