Went to Home Depot and picked up a Husky 24" Tool Bag to keep this chair in. Soooo much better than the bag it came in. Plenty of room but not grossly oversized. Has a better shoulder strap and some pockets for drinks, sun tan lotion, bug repellent, snacks, sun glasses, etc. A massive improvement for $35.

It's still a PITA to put away, even when it's the official NEMO Video! Add an inch to the storage bag length on the next revision.

WTF?!?! Why couldn’t you make the carrying case big enough to easily store the chair? It’s a freaking wrestling match to get it in there and I doubt the zippers on the case will hold up with so much pressure on them. A simple bag like one you store a tent in would be so much easier. These things are too expensive to be so hard to work with. Love the chair, but not the case.

Amazing chair, love it! The bag, however, was definitely an oversight in the design. Packing up the chair is frustrating. Should be bigger or designed to be easier to pack in the next version. Thank you for making this video!

Totally agree with Beverly Ray's comments, the bag should be bigger - I'll say 50% bigger. We have two chairs and I need to budget time just to get them in their bags.

We'll be happy to send this along to our product team! Another tip if you're still struggling is to remove the two back supports and put them in with the legs. Makes it easier to compress the body of the chair to get it in!

I had the same complaint about difficulty of fitting it all in the case, but I'm now able to do it without much difficulty. The trick is to fold the stand pieces down as compact as possible. And there's a specific way to do this. Break down the metal stand in the sequence she shows in the video. (There's another Nemo video about the Stargaze features where the guy shows the same sequence... Watch that one too, it's actually a little easier to see and he gives a few extra details.) Use the curve of the middle piece as sort of a "depression" to fold the top pieces into. Hard to put into words but it will easily sense when you're doing it. Then when you fold the legs in, fold them so that they are distributed evenly around the circumference of the rest of it. One on each of the three "sides." (In the other video, the guy says to "rotate" it.) Prior to doing this I folded them haphazardly and could never get it to fit in the bag. Once I started folding them this way, it easily fits into the bag! ✅

would have appreciated an angle where you can actually see the chair being folded. Also would have appreciated a bigger case as getting this thing back in is a 20 minute project every time I wanna use the chair.

I'm guessing they've made the bags bigger now? I've just received my Stargaze and it folds easily into the bag and there's no need to take those poles out? (in fact it does seem possible to do so now) The chair folds up and fits in - nice easy! There even room to fit a Big Agnes stool in the bag - perfect!

Interesting… This Nemo Stargaze recliner is very different than my Nemo Stargaze recliner that I just got a couple weeks ago. Do I have a newer or older version? Is there someway I can find out how to pack and stow this in the bag it came out of? I just cannot figure it out.

I had trouble also, but got the chair in. One problem I think is mid-video where the chair back gets folded in. It took several rewinds to see exactly how she was folding that, because one fold over doesn’t do it. If you don’t get that right, the rest of it is clumsy to do. And that flap at the end doesn’t fold over as neatly on my chair as in the video. Perhaps a chair material that’s been outside much is stiffer than new. It’s a job, but it will fit. Just have patience. Obviously some voicing expletives here lost theirs.

You made this look so easy yet the looks on your face with the legs made were right up there with getting a cat into a tub of water 😂 this definitely needs a slightly bigger bag. The tip for the little elastics to hold the poles on the back of the chair though blew my mind I didn’t know that was there.

The video would be much more helpful if you actually showed her actions vs her. I am guessing half of the time because my chair fold down doesn’t look like hers. I think she is using a brand new chair that was just taken out of the bag so it folds right back up into itself.

The chair is awesome. The bag is a size joke. I'm actually shopping right now for a cheap duffle bag to replace it with. Nemo should've had China make the bag 2 inches larger in all dimensions.

Bag needs to be bigger… No one wants to perfectly roll and fold when packing up. Furthermore, even you put additional strain on the zipper while trying to close it. Chair is great! Bag needs to be bigger. Or a different design such as a rope bag burrito design.

Nemo: please re-shoot this video! This is unacceptable. The only confusing part of the process is obscured by bad camera angles and spinning the chair around rapidly. I tried zooming in and slowing down the video but that doesn't work because there are cuts to different camera angles for no reason! Whoever is responsible for editing this should be fired. VERY BADLY DONE!

They are fucking impossible to repack! Haha the video cut right where it gets hard haha what would another 2 inches of done!?! These zippers are ginna survive long. The warranty better cover them.

Hi Steve! You'd be surprised how durable the packs are, but yes they are indeed covered under warranty if they do break.
