How To Pack a Stroud Safety Parachute! Plus Maintenace Tips!

Deploying your parachute for the first time can be intimidating, and even more intimidating is repacking it. If you have a fast car, you need to consider incorporating deploying your parachute into your routine. It is not only good precaution but can straighten a car out that is drifting or getting loose as well as be a great safety measure in the event your brakes aren't working properly from hot lapping or parts failure.
This video has a step by step of how to pack a spring pilot style parachute sold by Stroud with the inner deployment bag. Doug also goes over some things to check and maintenance items. If you have not packed a chute before check this out. It will save you a lot of headaches and hopefully simplify the process for you.

Yeah, those that don’t do this correctly will certainly have a “ big pile of chute “ at the end of the track… usually past the sand pit.. through the fence … across the street… shoved under a chicken coop…. LoL

Dam dude... Good video all the way up to the string portion. Your camera man should've zoomed in on how you first loop it through the bag. From that part everyone would've seen clearly on how the string is pulled through the other rings/loops... That's the only reason I left the thumb open. Should do over video especially on that part. People need to see exactly on how you Loop that first string through that whole. Can't see it far back in this video... Thanks anyway

The third flap you pull the string through, should be the flap at the same side as your cable, not the opposite. The last flap to be closed is the one opposite to the cable. This is also what they show on their youtube channel.

My god! Put the pull up cord under the pin before ripping it out! The friction will burn the closing loop!
