How to pack away your Cadac Carri Chef 2 BBQ

The bbq is great, the carry bag lasted a little less than a year before the stitching came undone. It was downhill from there and within a short while I had to bin it. Contacted cadac who couldn’t have been less interested. Bought an alternative brand made for my cadac and it’s still going strong after four years.

The Carrie Chef 2 is a fantastic product, but the bag needs improving. The giant lid on the outside, in the elastic straps, is prone to scratches. Why not a bigger bag that fits the lid, too? And a tip : in the clip the gas unit is put into the bag with the gas knob first. But that results in the knob carrying the full weight of the package when the bag is put upright. Make shure the knob points towards the bags carrying handles.

Hi Terry, we don't have a video for this one, but to pack the Citi Chef 40 away, put the base in first, then the fat pan, pot stand and grid goes in the zipped compartment at the top of the bag. The Dome Lid sits on top of the bag, under the elasticated strap. There is an image shown on our website here: www.cadacuk.com/product/citi-chef-40-black/ Hope this helps!

This vid doesn’t show the paella pan with handles as it doesn’t fit in the bag.Also why can’t a separate bag be supplied for the legs with the kit as the bbq pan does?

Hi Al, the Paella Pan comes with a separate carry bag. The legs slow through the elasticated holders on the back of the bag, or if you prefer a legs bag is available as an optional extra. Hope that helps!

Hi Tom, the unit, pot stand and grid go in the main bag, just gently move the bag up around the control knob, and the lid fits on top, secured with the clip. Hope that helps!

I don't remember seeing the orange gas pipe going in. It wasn't connected to the burner base. Not much good without this and the gas firtree and spanner. I agree with others, bag is poorly designed with the lid an afterthought. Paella pan does not fit in the bag either. Could do better Cadac.

You can add it to the main bag with the BBQ Grid if you want, they don't come with a dedicated storage bag though.

Bad package or bag for the cover. Grill is good, but the cover is bad

Poor design the dome needs to fit in the bag and the doom handle needs to to be quick release so it packs away smaller. Plus the legs need storing separately they don't pack well using the storage bag for the BBQ.
