You can turn the cell phone service off for the hunt and use the Camera and Mic on the phone. Some of the cameras showing up on phones these day are awesome. Also you can fetch the Lexas Audio Editor APP and use the phone for recording great EVP’s. I do this. Lenny, OPG.👻

Because of how technology rules society as a whole today, maybe that's why people don't see or experience them as often as people in the past use to.

You forgot one of the most important things of all, as many extra batteries as you can carry for all your devices, why? Spirits are made up of energy, if they want to materialize in some form, they can literally drain all the energy from your batteries to do it, leaving you with no power, so I always make sure you carry extra batteries for everything, keep some on your person, and keep some in your car, away from the investigation site, because they can also drain a fully charged battery sitting in your pocket. I’ve seen it happen more times then I can remember. You also forgot to include always keep a first aid kit with you, because most paranormal investigations involve going into older buildings and cramped quarters, And there are a world of things, besides the ghosts, that can injure you, and nothing ruins And investigation faster than you bleeding all over the floor, I know that from personal experience, I’ve learned everything the hard way, but it’s the best way to learn because you don’t forget! Also, always bring a change of clothing, and don’t forget to bring either paper towels or toilet paper, because you never know when nature is going to call, that, and spirits can sometimes make people feel nauseous or queasy, so if anything happens at least you Will be prepared. Just think of it like going on a camping trip with a really kinky twist!

You might want to look into getting a go pro. Something you could strap onto your head. You may looks silly but you won't make the mistake that almost every ghost hunter makes. Think of it more as a journalist or investigative reporter, pen and paper would be a good start, knowledge or history of the building or surrounding areas you'll be investigating. Obviously a camera, I've had different opinions from other investigators some of us like to use film reel. And have it developed, or you can use the phone on your camera. I prefer to record with video camera. EVP Audio recording I use tape usually I don't pick up all the bumps in the night from just a digital recorder. What's the time it's just about witnessing or experiencing the supernatural or the paranormal on your own or with others, and having fun doing it at the same time.
