Here on Cape Cod it has been unusually hot. I am pretty tired of all my summer clothes, and feel even though it's in the 80s plus these days, I like to transition into my Falll clothes. I wear khaki, navy, white, and blue solid shorts and put away my bright Lilly Pulitzer shorts until we go to the Caribbean. I still wear lightweight linen shirts in solid colors and solid colored skorts and solid colored s/s tees. I also put away the gingham, some madras and seersucker pants. I love frank & eileen khakis and their demim shirts for fall, layered over white tanks. Mainly I just swap out summer colored clothes for khaki, navy and hunter green shorts and pants.

Where I live, it is still well over 100°F. I put away white shoes and handbags, but I keep my white jeans out. In the autumn, l pair them with tans, browns, and oranges. Then in the winter I wear them with black and gray. I always keep my eye out for leaf motif jewelry and accessories to wear in autumn. Thanks for the video, I always enjoy them.

Linen pants and items are my ‘go to’ transitional items. They are perfect because they can be in darker or neutral colors so I feel very ‘fall’ and can be more covered’ if it’s slightly cool but if the sun comes out and it gets really hot again then I’m still comfortable. I can stay cool but I still look very ‘fall’. Linen also works well for tops as I can always start out with a layer ( cardigan or denim jacket) but again if it warms up later in the day and the sun comes out and it gets quite warm..I take off the layer and I’m cool and comfortable.

I live in Central Texas where it was 106 last week. I do love fall colors. So I layer and try to use fall colors. Sometimes it’s 75 on Christmas. Great video!

Great ideas. Still over 100 in Texas. At our house, the fall colors change between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I always need lightweight items in the fall colors.

I keep my fun yellow, orange and sky blue (and others) all year. I buy white sweaters and dye them. Mostly I make my clothing so I search for my colors in heavier fabrics. I add more chocolate brown, bright navy and dark berry colors. I switch out sandals for boots, booties or ballet flats. I add layers. I also live in a warm climate.

It's still warm and very humid here in the Philly area, so I'm continuing with things like white jeans, black flip-flops, black, denim and beige shorts until the weather changes and I feel chilly, silly and out-of-sync - it's a long winter and I'm not in a hurry to change until I have to!

Summer on NJ has definitely extended to the end of September over the past 10 years. It’s often over 80 degrees here until mid-October. I love fall weather and clothes and can’t wait for it! 🍁🎃🍂

Fabulous ideas. Spend the coldest months in southern New Mexico and CA ( from NJ) Last year is was unusually cold. Take way too much clothes. This year I will take your advice🙏

LIve in Florida, pretty much just two seasons, but I do change my color palette from spring summer/fall winter, I also add a few light jackets. Love your advice, something always resonates with me!! Looking forward to the next video

It's finally cold here in New Jersey and I've heaved out all our cold weather clothes in vacuum sealed bags. I clicked on this video because I'm overwhelmed by the task set out before me. Vacuum sealing creates so many wrinkles, so I'm going to steam de-wrinkle them in the dryer in batches.

Living in California, I wear fall colored short sleeve, and sleeveless tops layered with a lightweight fall colored cardigan in the mornings and evenings. No heavy sweaters till the weather gets cooler. But I still wear white jeans in fall.

I’m pretty militant about no white from the waist down after Labor Day (until it’s time to I bring out the winter whites). Now that I live in the south I’ve been a bit more liberal with this rule.

Living in Florida, I wear linen all year round but I do tend to wear more long sleeves in fall/winter than sleeveless ones. I've noticed the last few winters here have been very temperate. We used to get a couple months of nice crisp mornings and evenings with days in the 60's and 70's but there's less of that now. I'll be in summer clothes all year round soon so I do what you suggested, I wear seasonal colors. Autumnal tones suit me well so I'm enjoying my "fall" clothes.

Great tips! Another thing I do is late summer early fall I take out all my leather, suede shoes/boots new /old and spray them with a waterproof/ camp spray outside so that they dry and air out a bit. While doing this make sure you get the crease of shoe/boots where the sole / footbed meet. I also do this in the Spring as well for spring/summer leather/suede/fabric sandals again new/old . It’s good to do this every years or so. . Check out different brands and also do a tiny patch test if you are not sure in a place where it really wouldn’t be seem easily on shoe if desired. This trick was taught to me by my father who was a scout leader. Before camp season our shoes were treated and has save me $$ a headache when at bbqs, club, getting stuck in the rain ,etc.

Also it’s a good tip for purses and handbags. Again do a spot test. If not sure bring items to a shoe repair shop and they can either do it for you or guide you on how to do it. Hope this helps someone. 😀❤
